Joell is a much needed refresher of true Hip Hop talent. Not that Co-Sign shit we see all the time record labels try to push on us (DRAKE, WAKAFLAKA, NICKI MINAJ & MORE).
Streets have been begging for someone to rep them from the block. The only difference from others is that Joell knows how to properly use word play, humor & metaphors hip hoppers had back in the day.
Joell reminds me of the days of Slick Rick, when Hip Hop Music was about fun as well as the gutter shit. What we need is more talent like him proving to us fans that it’s not just about a catchy beat but strong lyrics people can relate to.
