David Banner On Endorsement Deals

Last month, Gatorade commissioned David Banner for their new Evolve campaign. He secured singer Kermit Quinn and wrote, produced, and arranged the jingle. But PepsiCo isn’t the only Fortune 500 company working with the rapper. Motorola has also tapped Banner for their upcoming push. In the clip above, the Mississippi native discusses his corporate appeal.

Eminem Recovery Reigns Supreme

The final numbers aren’t in until tomorrow, but Hits Daily Double tallies that Eminem’s Recovery has moved over 750,000 copies. If the figures hold up, the album becomes this year’s highest seller and Em’s fifth consecutive solo number one. UPDATE: Drum roll please. According to Soundscan final numbers are 741,000 copies. Congrats!

Air Drake’s First Flight

Drake says he knows G4 pilots on a first name basis. But after today, they’ll remember his government as well. As we reported, Drake embarked on Virgin America’s inaugural flight to Toronto, Canada. On board were Virgin founder, Sir Richard Branson, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newson, and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Sweet.
