Roger Ebert Gives Drake Thumbs Up

Yesterday morning, film critic Roger Ebert gave Drake props for his name drop in “Over”.  Later on, he added that Drizzy was his granddaughter’s favorite rapper. In 2002, Ebert was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. He overcame the disease, but lost the ability to talk, eat or drink. Thumbs down. Heads Up: brokencool

Bad news: Last night marked the debut of T-Pain’s animated show Freaknik: The Musical on Cartoon Network. Voiceovers included Rick Ross, Lil Jon, and Lil Wayne. Good news: Clever satire returns to the channel on May 2nd. Check out the rest of the show after the jump.

Beyoncé’s A Brooklyn Girl

BK may be from Texas, but now she’s a New Yorker. Today, Medina borough president Marty Markowitz crowned Beyoncé an offical Brooklynite. The singer was in town today for the opening of the Beyonce Cosmetology Center at the Phoenix House rehabilitation center. Bey spent time at Phoenix House while preparing for her role as Etta James in the film, Cadillac Records. AP
