Uh-oh, looks like Kamaal’s calling on Bloomberg’s countrymen to put an end to his incumbency this November. According to Tip’s Twitter account, he gripes that the Mayor is going to “turn the city into the office for rich folk and kick out the middle class/poor folks.” When you consider the gentrification of neighborhoods in Harlem and Brooklyn, Tip isn’t completely off his rocker. Hell the price for a one bedroom in, could feed a third world country. Transportation fare’s up, […]

Outta the way Usher. Yesterday, the Black Eyed Peas broke Mr. Raymond’s record for the longest consecutive stay at the top of the Billboard charts. Eclipsing “Burn” and “Yeah!”, B.E.P.’s “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling” have collectively reached number one for 20 weeks. I’m far from a fan, but that’s one helluva of an accomplishment. I’m sure [insert your favorite rappa here] would sell their soul publishing to achieve that level of success. With that said, check out […]
[vodpod id=ExternalVideo.866625&w=425&h=350&fv=%26rel%3D0%26border%3D0%26] It’s not that Yayo can’t stop; it’s just that he won’t stop pumping out new videos. In fact, here’s the latest from his upcoming Gangsta Grillz mixtape, Gangsta Paradise. No Coolio cameos here.

According to ESPN, Cheddar Bob Plaxico agreed to sit his dumb ass in prison for the next two years. The former NY Giants star shot himself in a N.Y. nightclub last year. After his release he will have have two years of supervision. No sympathy here. You do the crime, you do the time. Besides, everyone knows NYC’s super strict when it comes to weapons possession. Shoot, if the D.A. has their way, Ja and Wayne will be sharing a cell pretty soon.

Normally, I’d call bullshit. Afterall, Big Boi’s been plugging this album for the longest. But with Maurice there to give it an added co-sign, I believe it is. Maybe Def Jam felt otherwise?

Man, this drop from Masspike Miles is seriously smooth from start to finish. The Road Less Traveled totally delivers on that signature R&B vibe, and the production choices across these tracks are just insane. It honestly feels more complete than a lot of full-length albums out right now. Tracks like "Devoted" with Bun B and the title track hit different when you are just cruising around the city late at night. If you are heading out to grab the physical copy or hitting up a late-night listening session across town, trying to flag down reliable taxi services can sometimes be a real hassle, so planning ahead definitely saves the mood. Overall, this project proves why he is such a vital part of the Maybach crew. Definitely keep this one on repeat for a while.
