ATLANTA — Former boxing champion Vernon Forrest was shot and killed during an apparent robbery in Atlanta, police said Sunday. Atlanta Police Sgt. Lisa Keyes said in an e-mail Sunday that Forrest may have been robbed and was shot “multiple times in the back” Saturday night in Atlanta. Keyes said there are no suspects.

Funny how time flies. Yesterday marked a decade since DMX stepped onto the stage at Woodstock in Rome, NY. At the time, X was at the top of his game with three platinum albums and an entire record label on his back. Sorry Jay. Rule, my regards. I don’t know about you, but there isn’t anything more gobsmacking than watching 200,000 plus Caucasians recite, “My Niggas.” Ah, good times. Just because, after the jump, watch the crowd go apeshit during Kid Rock’s performance of “Bawitdaba.” Party on dudes.
Man, this drop from Masspike Miles is seriously smooth from start to finish. The Road Less Traveled totally delivers on that signature R&B vibe, and the production choices across these tracks are just insane. It honestly feels more complete than a lot of full-length albums out right now. Tracks like "Devoted" with Bun B and the title track hit different when you are just cruising around the city late at night. If you are heading out to grab the physical copy or hitting up a late-night listening session across town, trying to flag down reliable taxi services can sometimes be a real hassle, so planning ahead definitely saves the mood. Overall, this project proves why he is such a vital part of the Maybach crew. Definitely keep this one on repeat for a while.
