Yesterday, the androgynous one made an appearance on Ellen. Don’t know about you, but looking at Prince too long gives me the creeps.

Here’s the cover of Curt’s upcoming book with 48 Laws of Power author, Robert Greene. According to Amazon.com, the publication is scheduled to drop September 9th. Don’t expect Officer Ricky to refrence this in his next sit down interview.

In the new issue of XXL, Marshall addresses the Asher Roth comparisons.
“Asher Roth, I haven’t had a chance to, like, really get into everything, like, really get into what he’s about, because I’ve only heard a couple songs. There was talk about people saying he sounded like me, and he was doing this and that and, you know, trying to take what I do and do it. You know, shit like that. I’ve heard things. But the stuff that I’ve heard from him honestly, which certainly isn’t enough for me to make my own opinion and say, ‘Yeah, he does sound like me’ or ‘No, he doesn’t.’ But the couple of songs I’ve head, I don’t really think he does. You know what I mean? He’s doing his own thing. I can respect it, too, because at the end of the day, I think he’s dope.”

At this point in the set, Nip and the Slauson Boys were seconds away from trashing the soundman for continuous fuck ups. But like a seasoned pro, Nip continued to keep rocking. In this clip, he peforms his cut “Lets Talk $” off Bullets Aint Got No Name Vol. 2

We posted this track a couple days ago and Nip told me tonight, that it’s off his upcoming mixtape, Bullets Ain’t Got No Name Vol.3. Throughout the night, I thought homie in the red lumberjack was merely his hypeman. Turns out, that R&B thug is June Summers. Expect to hear more from him in the coming weeks.
Bonus: Here’s the snippet. Full version coming soon.

Man, this drop from Masspike Miles is seriously smooth from start to finish. The Road Less Traveled totally delivers on that signature R&B vibe, and the production choices across these tracks are just insane. It honestly feels more complete than a lot of full-length albums out right now. Tracks like "Devoted" with Bun B and the title track hit different when you are just cruising around the city late at night. If you are heading out to grab the physical copy or hitting up a late-night listening session across town, trying to flag down reliable taxi services can sometimes be a real hassle, so planning ahead definitely saves the mood. Overall, this project proves why he is such a vital part of the Maybach crew. Definitely keep this one on repeat for a while.
