Kanye West Compares Fame To Obesity?
alt

The hot ticket last night in NY was for a private Casio G-Shock party held at Cipriani (that’s where all the cool rich industry guys grub at). Kanye West performed an entire concert and there was a lot of security trying to prevent people from flip caming or takin’ flicks. Still some stuff is already twinklin’ out and I’ll be on the hunt today for more. Oh yeah, Tabloid Prodigy says a fashion scribe named Danica Lo shot the above photo and attributes that the quote was said during one of Ye’s rants during his show. They also snagged the entire set list. Good job!

Spotted: Dre

Update: Mr. West did his verse from “Run This Town”! Footage kids. Where’s the footage? And Twitter’s down. Fuck Thursday.

Fat Joe Interview (Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg)

Joe Crack gives an exclusive radio interview to Hot 97’s new morning show to defend himself even further against the accusations from Big Pun’s widow. Liza called up immediately after. Big shock. Trying to get audio. Props to Peter Elliot for sending this.

Ghostface Wants To Make An Album With MJB

[vodpod id=ExternalVideo.886007&w=425&h=350&fv=configParams%3Duri%253Dmgid%253Auma%253Avideo%253Amtv.com%253A424786]

GFK has an interesting idea involving the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul:

“We got the ill chemistry together,” said Ghost, on the set of his “Baby” video in Harlem. “I love Mary. I hope one day we could … get together and just make an ill classic. Some Peaches & Herb. [Hip-hop editor’s note: Google that group!] We just hop in real quick. Just one go-round, a one-off. That’s just fly.”

Sitting in his tour bus, parked across the street from Rucker Park, Ghost was also thinking about collaborating with some other R&B greats. His past R&B collaborations are highlighted on the new J-Love mixtape The Wizard Is Coming.

“That was when we was in Cali at that time,” Ghost thought back to his guest appearance on Mary’s “Your Child” remix. “I remember Mary wanted me to do that for her real quick. I did two of them [verses]. The other verse wasn’t all right. I think [the verse that made the song] might have been eight bars. Those were the days. I was stuck a little bit.”

Great in theory, but um, it’s not gonna happen. I don’t want to put people’s personal biz out there, but I’m sure Kendu ain’t havin’ that.

New Video: DJ Paul “Fuck Boy”/”I’m Drunk (Remix)”

[vodpod id=ExternalVideo.886455&w=425&h=350&fv=]

“I’ma tell you what you is boy.”

How’d I miss this one???!! Fuckin’ love the title. You know I love the title! Ah, it’s a wrap at 1:45. Ugh. I don’t need no Lil Wyte in my life. I got Bud Light. And I’m drinkin’ responsibly. Wink wink. Oh now this fuckin’ guitar part is strange as shit. Ha! And he threw the Thriller laugh at the end. Smh.

Still: I need more “Fuck Boy”! A Thousand Pauses.

Sidebar: Have refused to download any of this new Three 6 Mafia stuff, is it any good? They ain’t been the same since they copped the Oscar and I’m still tight about that terrible reality show. Where’s the fake Rosenberg? Ha!

Mariah Carey “Obsessed” (Live On America’s Got Talent)

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aU2f0mQ-p7o]

“I don’t care what nobody says, that song is about me.”

The fight is fixed. Nick Cannon’s wife performs Em’s favorite song on his TV show. Let’s see: Six big Black back-up dancers lifting her up and down. Occasional use of signature high squeal. A lil’ subliminal jab by Mr. Drumline at the end. Did he call her his soulmate? Did she grab his ass? New improved Sonny & Cher?

Miss Gucci Mane tho, mang.

[vodpod id=ExternalVideo.886008&w=425&h=350&fv=videoGUID%3D%7BF1FE378F-6A2F-4133-B6A4-CBFE303FB86F%7D%26playerid%3D1000%26plyMediaEnabled%3D1%26configURL%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fwsj.vo.llnwd.net%2Fo28%2Fplayers%2F%26autoStart%3Dfalse]

“You can take something and you can sell all the things around it.”

At a Planet Hip-Hop Wall Street Journal panel, Nas’ former manager and one of Jay-Z’s current biz partners, Steve “The Commissioner” Stoute recalls how signin’ the Fresh Prince and the ridiculous success of Men In Black showed him the unlimited potential to make scrilla outside the record business. Ray-Ban got fat while everybody starved. Ha!

TMZ Catches Ma$e On The Streets of New York

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NEeKTAeK1s]

Is that you Betha? Why did this nigga put his shades on when he found out it was someone from Levin’s team. Smh. And what the fuck is the pastor wearing? Plus, he’s throwing punches like a tough guy? Anyways, Harlem’s recluse pretty much admits he still can’t do anything with his career until he works business out with Puff. Hey, Combs let the Lox and Po go, it might be time to give this guy his freedom papers too. He ain’t gonna sell no records in this climate, Sean.

Note: YN don’t like the Dime Wars player. In case, you’re wondering.

Update: No the paps did not catch this nigga on a payphone?

Young Jeezy’s Makin’ “Suicide Music”

[vodpod id=ExternalVideo.886457&w=425&h=350&fv=]

Sway presses Lil’ J for details on TM103 and he obliges. Yeeeah!

“To even get a feel for it, we’ll start with the ‘Intro. When you buy this album, you’ll know where I’m going. If I can recall, one of the first lines is, ‘No matter what they think, I’m trying to do better/ Despite of what they think, I’m making you better/ So let them go back and forth about who’s better.’

“I got a joint called ‘I Got This,’. Then there’s ‘Suicide Music.’ I don’t wanna give it all up, because you’ll probably figure out where I’m going. The list goes on. To me, I know [artists] say, ‘This is going to be my best work.’ This is going to be my best work with the experience I have and I’m still me. Cats been rocking with me for four or five years. I’mma give them what they need to do and I’m gonna motivate the thugs.”

Can’t wait.

Plies & Big Gates Shoot Magazine Cover

{myspace width=”540″ height=”350″}61553128{/myspace}

Not the most exciting footage, but noteworthy since it’s Plies first photo shoot with his recently released brother Big Gates. They wouldn’t reveal the magazine, but I’m guessing JB’s house. After the jump, a new joint from the Goon that’s been floating around. Watch Atlantic take it down in 5…4… 3… 2…
