Eskay recently revealed that his hometown favorite graces one of The Source‘s 3 upcoming covers. There’s also a Busta and a Bun one for the ten collectors still left. Hey everyone gets a cover nowadays, huh? Notice this one’s also a double month edition. Not a good sign. Still it’s hard to believe the cockroach of publishing will ever die. Lord knows I heard the crunchy sound when I lifted my Timbo up. Smh.

After the jump, Julia Beverly thinks Da Capo’s album’s called Purple Reign.

The Internets Nigga You Love To Hate: WSHH’s Q

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGts3Kie7pM]

“Me and my partner capitalized off the downfall of BET.”

Hey Internets, this is Q from WSHH. You don’t know the grill but you know the url. I haven’t been this excited to put a face to the name since Erik Parker brought us fuck boy from his K-Mart lunchbreak. Ha!

Props: The 3D Rick Ross glasses-lovin’ Queen of Radio and Lee-Lee!

Soulja Boy Gets Crunk

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8Kog_sozBE]

This kid’s been movin’ pretty good lately. So I’m just gonna pretend he didn’t do this. Ok? Thank you. *Whistles and looks up to the sky*

Sidebar: Dave Chappelle can’t ever become a star again so Mortimer‘s got no shot. 9 shots!

Cory Gunz Bad Freestyle Pt. 2

[vimeo http://vimeo.com/3928324]

Look who’s cheating on us? Ha! Nah, the more Cory out there, the better hip-hop is. Peep dude cruisin’ through town with Whoo Kid and those fancy Radio Planet cameras capturing it all. I’d jot some of his lyrics down but he rhymes too damn fast. Never tongue-tied, huh? Smh.

New Music: Young Dro “Dro Rock Diamonds”
Dro RapRadar.com

“We got Big on the hook.”

Just when you thought screwed and chopped hooks were a thing of the best, here comes Fantasia’s ex with some Southern smoke. Ha! Young Dro drops a lil’ street heat to keep Grand Hustle hot before the impending doom of his CEO going to the clink. Do you really think these guys are gonna accomplish much with Cliff gone? Wish I wasn’t so skeptical.

New Music: Rich Boy “It’s Over”
rich boy rapradar.com

“I’m grindin’ hard, I almost got my Black card.”

Rich Boy is to eskay as Boosie is to B.Dot. Ha! Here’s a new one from Alabama’s finest. Like most of Boy’s best stuff the hook is infectious. I really hope Interscope gives him another look. Fingers crossed.

Sidebar: I think I hear a lil Auto-Tune in the mix at the 2:50 mark or so. Uh oh, Mark Jackson says, “You’re better than that!”

“Will I stop? Nope! April Fools!”

Here’s some classic rap ish kids. KRS-One in his prime, tearin’ down a stage with that edutainment. This is how I celebrate April Uno.

I did my part. Y’all lamed out.

Seriously, the packaging in the deluxe edition is ill and is worth the loot. And Jim even thanks you know who.

Cam’ron:

Thank you for everything, it was fun while it lasted, I wouldn’t trade it for a billion dollars. “Jomo”

RR Exclusive: dead prez “Stimulus Plan” (DJ Green Lantern)
dead prez rapradar.com

“Slavery was about money.”

True Story: Was supposed to break this bad boy on opening day, but the Evil Genius put me back in the bullpen. But now that everyone knows Green Lantern is in the dead prez business, I can now share. Here’s the jump off (not the first single) from the Pulse of The People due on 6/23/09.

Jada RapRadar.com

“X was bringin’ in the moolah/ I was in the hood in the kitchen with the digital rulers.”

OK I promise THIS is the last joint we’re gonna post from The Last Kiss. B.Dot feels this one has the most single potential. Are you listening BOBO? Ha! Jada passionately and pointedly gives an auto-bio of his career path over a smoother than silk Luther Vandross sample.

YN Predicts T.I. & Tiny Will Get Married
T.I. and Tiny RapRadar.com

Take with a grain of salt most of the things you see on Media Takeout but I got a feeling this one might turn true. Rumors are runnin’ rampant that T.I. may make Tiny an honest woman before he turns himself in on May 19. Even the so-called legitimate news outlets are pickin’ up on it. I say why not. Tiny has obviously repped for damn near a decade, she deserves to be Mrs. Harris. It’s about fuckin’ time, Cliff. Join the club, shawty. Put a ring on it.

Unreleased Cam’ron: “Spend The Night”

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BF2UYaXOvE]

“The clothes from Italy/ The coke from Sicily/ I’m talkin’ literally/ C’mon now, stop kiddin’ me.”

As anticipation for Crime Pays continues to build, another Cam’ron Giles song appears. Despite more leaks than my old apt on 182 Norfolk, I’m sure the Diplomats founder will insist this will not touch the final CD. Oh well, no such thing as too much Killa.

Yup, I possess a lot of things. Hey late night: Here’s Curtis! A throwback jersey-rockin’ 50 makes his network television debut on Kimmel along with an all-star cast: Al Michaels, The Rock, and Snoop Dogg. Six years later and still pretty funny.

Check for performances of “In Da Club” and “Wanksta” after the jump.

Throwback Video: Suge Knight’s New Death Row

“One thing everybody knows is this: There’s not one person out there can sit up here and say they slapped Suge Knight or punked Suge Knight.”

Anybody remember MTV’s news show, The Wrap, with the homie Gideon Yago? Prolly not. But this will take you back. Oh how things done changed. Lots of Crooked I, support for Ja Rule, and as far as the statement above, um… Crystal, can you change you my cell #?

Consequence In The Studio With Styles P and Statik Selektah

“Get my cover in the back.”

Nothing groundbreaking here. Just your boy Cons and his trusty Kyte cam lettin’ us into a secret session with Styles P and Statik. They’re promising a “classic” here. I’ll just take a good, solid joint. Either way, I’ll give it a listen.

Props: Show Off. Your basement has great choice in magazine posters. Ha!

DJ Quik and Kurupt Make An Album
Quik Kurupt RapRadar.com

Apparently Terrance Martin isn’t the only producer Kurupt has been makin’ music with. It’s just been announced that the Dogg Pound MC has paired with legendary West Coast trackmaster, DJ Quik for The Blaqkout due June 9. Take that Red and Meth!

In a press release, Quik explains why the album became a reality:

“Kurupt does in rap what I do in music. It just made sense. Kurupt is a gangster rapper in the sense of being raw, bare-bones and uncut. I wanted to do music that evoked certain feelings and could show his microphone superiority.”

Highlighted cuts to check for include the title track, the explosive “9 Times Out Of Ten” and “Hey Playa” (Moroccan Blues) which includes a sample from a song Quik heard in a Morocco episode of this show.

We all know Mr. Blake loves them foreign sounds.
