I couldn’t make the official listening party for Asher Roth last night which is why I bugged his mgr Scooter to play me the album a couple of hours before it started. But if I knew some of my favorite niggas in the game we’re gonna show up I might have re-worked my sked. Ha!

So watching this Common freestyle back in Austin I was reminded of this footage I was sittin’ on. Two weeks ago, I saw this post on Please Don’t Stare and when I couldn’t load the video I reached out to the kid who shot it. We all know Com is a master off the head but it seems like he keeps those Lil Wayne references in his cerebellum.

Still learning the 24/7 blog grind and one thing I’ve noticed is that most of the music we post on these sites isn’t that good. Big surprise! Now be clear Rap Radar in a brief time has already shown to be more stingy in our coverage than the average rap blog out there. But we still have to serve a climate that puts more of an emphasis on “exclusive” above it all. That being said, this song isn’t “new” it leaked right before Rap Radar launched and for some reason I just listened to it and, guess what, it’s pretty good.

Two MCs who’s careers seem to be headed no where can still make good music as this joint proves. Here’s Twista featuring The Game “No Love” which I had to show love to cuz this is somethin’ I’d actually listen to even if this wasn’t my job. Ha!

All things Chi-Town: FSD

This has been makin’ the rounds all over the Internets for awhile but supposedly this is the offcial CDQ of the potential second single from Weezy’s Rebirth “rock” album. Simply put, “Hot Revolver” is a hot mess. I can understand how “Prom Queen” can grow on you but this is a pile of excrement. The question remains will Ms. Rhone really let dude put out this junk? Somebody needs to make rap niggas rap.

Don’t Shoot The Messenger: Shake

Your girl Serena Williams attended a Sony Ericsson party in Miami and, guess what the paps did, they got her to turn around and give up the goods. Hit the jump you perverts.

Looks like Blackout 2 really is gonna happen since the Dust Brothers shot a video for a song that we haven’t heard before. It’s called “Mr. International,” and I guess it’s the album’s official first single. More flicks from the set after the break.

1. “Lark On My Go Kart”

You know I fucks with this one. That track is hard. The crazy Jewish kid behind the boards here is Oren Yoel and this well-produced album is as much a coming-out party for Roth as it is for him.

2. “Blunt Cruise”

Saw him do this one live at SXSW. An ode to weed. Roth ain’t a player but he smokes a lot. Not as bad as Cudi tho.

3. “I Love College”

Hate it or love it, the shit went gold. Weezer sample or not.

4. “La Di Da”

My personal favorite cut produced by Don Cannon. I think I’m quietly becoming a stan of the former Aphiliate’s work.

5. “Be By Myself”

The next single features Cee-Lo on the hook and has an ill musical breakdown in the bridge.
