Here’s another treat from the Shade 45 airwaves: Last Tuesday, Just Blaze played some brief but spectacular snippets from the above marathon Baseline studio session. Jay Electronica also shot some video from that night that I’ve been trying to get my hands on since our launch. In the meantime, this better hold ya over.
No Clifford here. But my other rap buddy named Jay sounds great and when was the last time you heard Mos flow this well. I guarantee whatever Just got is 10 x doper than any bullshit Pretty Flaco album on the way. Some artists need guidance!

Bernard “Bun B” Freeman keeps on moving. He leans back into his black leather recliner to change out of his Nikes and into socks and sandals, but he doesn’t sit for long. He gets up and grabs his iPhone or he stares out the window of Jive’s Midtown office in Manhattan, New York. He’s in New York promoting the final UGK album, 4 Life, which drops March 31st. Taking a moment out of his busy sked, he sits with RapRadar and reflects on Pimp C, the history of UGK, and being apart of the most underrated rap groups of the ‘90s.
Finally got my hands on this. Responding to criticism from “Internet Connection,” Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek broke a new song on Green Lantern’s Sirius radio show last Monday.
This is more like what you’d expect from them.

Fun Fact: YN was the first guest on Juan Epstein. Now there’s no Juan Epstein without guests. Multiple shots! Anyway peep Cipha Rosenberg’s latest rap nerd fest. This reminds me that Kweli and Hi-Tek also performed “The Blast” live on Green Lantern’s Sirius show last Monday that I co-hosted. They also broke a new song. I think I finally ripped it right from that night last night. Ha! Stay tuned.

Guess the tape recorders and the flip cams were out all reckless last night. Ha! Internets. It’s your dude Dallas Penn. Internets. He’s got some crazy footage from last night. Internets. After the jump, also check out more footage from Cyrus from SOHH and the tracklist of the 9 songs that were played.
I wasn’t even at the Rick Ross listening party in NYC. But you know I know a lotta folks in high and low places that were in attendance. Boy looka here. Here’s what I found in my in-box.

And for the record, wasn’t no one from my team.
Update:
Wait, Wayne’s opening line:
“All black Maybach, I’m sittin’ in the asshole”
*Speechless*
Besides Jomo’s play, there’s a documentary that he and Dame Dash have been workin’ on for awhile now. A special screening of This is Jim Jones took place today for us media types and one woman seems to have taken the most thorough notes.
“Chapter 8 shows Jim and Dame with their adorable sons shopping at Niketown (dropping $3000 in one hit) with Dame telling cameras
Here’s a custom made freestyle for your boy YN and his new venture from 1/4 of Slaughterhouse. Really appreciate the support, Mr. Ortiz.
