Remember this guy? He raps pretty good when he actually is focused on rapping. This freestyle however is pretty blah. You’re better than this Dante! I’m goin’ to sleep.

My man Mr. Smith gives details of the upcoming Maino video for “All The Above.” Speaks about comin’ up with the hook for that, as well as T.I.’s “Live Your Life” and Jamie Foxx’s “Number One.” Plus he provides clarity on Saigon’s Amalgam Digital dealings.

File this under I’ll believe it when it’s published but apparently Trick Daddy has inked a book deal with MTV/Pocket Books. His autobiography, Magic City: Trials of a Native Son, will be written with Miami Herald writer, Peter Bailey and will tell the story of his poor troubled childhood, pimp father, and drug-dealing brother Hollywood. Don’t make me actually get my Jay-Z book done. Ha!

Pardon me, I forgot to laugh at this.

Man, this drop from Masspike Miles is seriously smooth from start to finish. The Road Less Traveled totally delivers on that signature R&B vibe, and the production choices across these tracks are just insane. It honestly feels more complete than a lot of full-length albums out right now. Tracks like "Devoted" with Bun B and the title track hit different when you are just cruising around the city late at night. If you are heading out to grab the physical copy or hitting up a late-night listening session across town, trying to flag down reliable taxi services can sometimes be a real hassle, so planning ahead definitely saves the mood. Overall, this project proves why he is such a vital part of the Maybach crew. Definitely keep this one on repeat for a while.
