Ricky touched down in the NYC this afternoon to bring Power 105’s DJ Envy the world premiere of “Mafia Music Pt. 2” off his upcoming album, Teflon Don. No shots fired? UPDATE: Here’s the clean. Bonus: Ross speaks on the tussle with Mayweather. Ross on the Biggie comparisons.

After yesterday’s premature leak, here’s the offical version of the first single off Battle Of The Sexes. We see you, AJ.
Damn, I might’ve left too soon. You think? The Queen Bee came out and did “The Jump Off”. Oh well. I think I’ll get over it. Sidebar: Is that you Petey? Milk Carton 4 Life. Freshalina
Don’t feel bad Nick, YN got ditched for breakfast too. But at least I got to ride in the high-powered elevator. Ha! Previously: Nick Cannon Needs A Ride
“This man is a musical genius” Before I headed to BK to see Jay Elect, I actually stopped by Timbo’s show at Irving Plaza for a grand total of 20 mins. So I missed Puff comin’ out and doin’ “Mo Money, Mo Problems”. Hmm. Not bad. Bonus: Here’s some strange show opening footage I caught of Tim. Hey, I stay with the Flip, kid. Sample this!
One of the greatest groups in history reunited last night. Ashamed to admit I missed this. Hey, I’m 39 I need to catch some shut-eye sometimes. Sorry Kamaal. I saw you walkin around the spot incognito like the fuckin’ “Hot Sex” video. Ha! Omen UPDATE: LTD Mag got better footage. [vodpod id=Video.2904676&w=425&h=350&fv=] Here’s the Press Play intv as promised, which is pretty blah until the 3:40 mark when Wale puts together a couple of fictional supergroups. Who knew dude was such a Young Dro fan.
Finally got a chance to check out the visual from Sha Money XL’s new artist, Kidd Kidd. Remember, dude used to roll with Lil Wayne and was the feature on “Mrs. Officer”. Here, he laments the losses his hometown suffered from Hurrricane Katrina and dedicates the song to the people of Haiti. Good stuff.
Back in December, The Officer performed in Wyclef’s homeland. WSHH just released some behind the scenes footage, but I prefer the clip above that I found on YouTube. Pretty sure, this won’t be the last time we see a rapper perform there.
Here’s some mo’ flicks of Weezy and The World’s Most Dangerous Group (ha!) creating the video for “Roger That”. While in Miami, they actually shot another visual to “Girl I Got You” too. Happy happy joy joy! Lil Wayne HQ
What more can I say? Jay Elect and RR get top billin’, chumps. Ride with us or collide with us. Ha!
A gang of rap all-stars came out to support Phife from A Tribe Called Quest’s battle with diabetes. Jeru, Dres, KRS-One, Busy Bee, Greg Nice, you name it. But rap’s new phenom really shined with his stellar set. It was Jay Elect’s house as he brought out Talib and Mos for everyone’s favorite posse cut. One mo’ time! And oh yeah, fuck a watermark, I shot this and if you steal my footage I want 700% or I’m gonna out […]
Guess Bun B had a busy time in BK today. Here’s a look at Kweli and Hi-Tek’s upcoming visual. Omen Via Aura
Jay Elect and Just Blaze continued the Sirius XM radio rounds and visited our homegirl Renada Romain‘s morning show. Here Jay speaks on those who are still salty that his next project hasn’t been released yet.
The Texas don is still terrorizing one studio at a time. This is fresh out Statik’s stu and he namedrops duke in the middle at the end of his verse. I see you, Mr. Rawlins. Sidebar: I didn’t realize how hot this beat was. Whoa. NR
No retirement for the big guy, Shaquille just felt the need to show the NBA TV audience his bunions after Cleveland’s home win over Toronto 108-100. I hope y’all already had your lunch. VladTV Sidebar: Kazaam wants the big dawgs to dedicate the dunk contest to Haiti.
Another one we didn’t see coming. The legendary producer adds a “Catch The Beat” classic touch to one of MJB’s latest tunes. Check out Marley gettin’ his rap on at the end. Whoa. Ok, O.G. Young Kingz

[…] Busta Rhymes’ revelation about the Roxy incident offers fans a rare glimpse into a moment that could have escalated into something much bigger. But thanks to the power of music—and the quick thinking of Kid Capri—the night ended on a high note. It’s a story that reminds us of the way hip hop can unite as much as it divides, and how even in moments of tension, the culture finds a way to move forward. […]
