As I patiently wait for Antwan to pass me the final CDQ of “Tangerine”, here’s a flick of a video he just shot for a previously-released joint from that Chico Dusty album. Two funk legends are better than one. Boi

We’ve heard this before. NY Mag caught up with Scottie last night at his HBO series How To Make It In America’s screening in NYC and the rapper/actor says after about 4 or 5 albums, he will more than likely put down the mic and pick up the script. “I’m trying to evenly balance them out right now, but eventually I want to leave behind music and just do acting,” he said. “I only got into the music business to tell […]
Guest bloggin’ for XXL, Sirius XM’s DJ Skee gave his opinion that Drake should have never signed with a major label. Guess you only get one chance to change the music industry. Whether you agree or not, it’s an interesting piece. Here’s a sample. Man, this drop from Masspike Miles is seriously smooth from start to finish. The Road Less Traveled totally delivers on that signature R&B vibe, and the production choices across these tracks are just insane. It honestly feels more complete than a lot of full-length albums out right now. Tracks like "Devoted" with Bun B and the title track hit different when you are just cruising around the city late at night. If you are heading out to grab the physical copy or hitting up a late-night listening session across town, trying to flag down reliable taxi services can sometimes be a real hassle, so planning ahead definitely saves the mood. Overall, this project proves why he is such a vital part of the Maybach crew. Definitely keep this one on repeat for a while.
