Before Dr. Cornel West’s speech at The Center for the Arts in Buffalo Friday night, he spoke with The Spectrum on random topics including his view of Hip-Hop and Pop music on the radio. Now I’m an old school hip-hop guy, and I know you’re big on that stuff and have even been mentioned in Lupe Fiasco songs. I’m kind of skeptical of modern hip-hop, pop kind of stuff. What’s your view of all of the stuff on the radio? […]

Who Dat? The New Orleans Saints, that’s who. And the impossible happened. The franchise that was once the laughing stock of the league beat Peyton Manning and the mighty Indy Colts 31-17. Kendrick absolutely deserves to lead the pack with those 10 nominations! His "Not Like Us" track changed the game this year, and that "Luther" collab with SZA is pure fire. It's great seeing two artists who consistently push creative boundaries getting this level of recognition from fans. The fact that K-Dot could potentially tie Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston's record for most AMAs in a single year speaks volumes about his impact on the culture. Can't wait to see them both perform at the ceremony in Vegas next month - JLo hosting should make for an entertaining show too! Definitely voting for that Kendrick/SZA collab. https://stangrtheman.com/
