Dont Call It A Comeback: Whitney Houston

whitney-rapradar.com

Vibe.com reports that Ray J’s cougar is prepped for her official comeback:

“Diane Warren, the songwriter behind Houston’s comeback single, has

the goods. ‘The song is called ‘I Didn’t Know My Own Strength’, Warren

told an audience at the Experience Music Project’s annual Pop

Conference in Seattle on Friday. ‘Whitney’s back. Big time.

Warren said she wrote the song specifically for Houston. ‘I tried to

get inside her head,’ Warren said about the track, which Houston

performed at Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy Gala on February 7. “Strength”

will be featured on the 45-year-old singer’s seventh solo album, and

will be produced by famed hitmaker David Foster. “

Should be interesting to see how Whit fares in the land of the Auto-Tune.

Bonus: YN was at the aforementioned gala before Rap Radar launched. We lost.

YN’s 4-20 Tribute To Redman
alt

When I think of weed, I think of Redman. So this weekend, I starting compiling some of my favorite Reggie Noble tunes. Shit started to sound so good to me I decided to share it with the rest of youse. Whether high or sober, this is some good hip-hop ish. Bump rap every day.

Too hectic to put the tracklist down, just trust a super-lightskinned nigga like my name was Drake. For heaven’s sake. Ha!

Sat in as guest co-host on The Morning After with Angela Yee. And in honor of 4-20, we talked to Asher Roth about his new album and chopped it up with certified smoker Dame Dash? Color me naive, but I didn’t know Boogie’s pops got down like that.

Here are a coupla pics off the set of Alchemist’s new video “Smile”. The song features appearances from Twista and Maxwell. More after the jump.

“I definitely feel like it was special and was meant to be because I don’t

always collaborate with R&B artists,” ALC said of hooking up with

Max. “If we just wanted him for a song and didn’t know him, it wouldn’t

have happened. It was just circumstances of life that led us to do this

record. I feel like super lucky, where every time I see Max, I overly

thank him. He’s like, ‘We good! Your shit is dope.”
