We used to have debates at XXL about whether this really happened or not. Here’s a clip from the infamous 106 and Park episode where the Birdmans (Sr. and Jr.) locked lips. Even though apparently the cameraman missed it. THE MOST EPIC OF FAILS. The legend continues!
“My Ciroc is on the rocks and it’s always Double/So I can lose control I like it baby when I stumble.”
Here comes Cassie again with the Drunken Hot Girls anthem “Let’s Go Crazy” featuring Akon. The voice is still fragile like a young child and the track is straight Pussycat Dolls but who could stay mad at such a cute face. Huh? Not me. Not Diddy. Guess this album’s really coming whether we like it or not.

I rather rock with the other joint. It’s far from classic but it’s listenable.

Go wake your granddaddy up from his afternoon nap. Here’s rare footage of Jazzy Jeff proving why he’s the greatest DJ behind the 1’s and 2’s. Tell ’em I said that! Fuck Serato. Ha! And oh yeah, the biggest actor on the globe, Will “Fresh Prince” Smith is in the house too. Peep mo’ vintage madness after the jump!

There’s nothin’ more gangsta than doin’ an intv in your bathrobe in front of KRS-One. Take that Ghostface Killah!
14 years ago today, we lost Eric Wright to AIDS. Hip-hop will never stop celebrating the life of the West Coast legend. Some of my favorite videos from the O.G. after the break.

I couldn’t make the official listening party for Asher Roth last night which is why I bugged his mgr Scooter to play me the album a couple of hours before it started. But if I knew some of my favorite niggas in the game we’re gonna show up I might have re-worked my sked. Ha!
Internets! DP tries to DP the man, the myth, the legend above and, after the jump, my homie Mr. Brown also invades the space. Plus listen to him catch wreck over the “College” instrumental.

So watching this Common freestyle back in Austin I was reminded of this footage I was sittin’ on. Two weeks ago, I saw this post on Please Don’t Stare and when I couldn’t load the video I reached out to the kid who shot it. We all know Com is a master off the head but it seems like he keeps those Lil Wayne references in his cerebellum.

Still learning the 24/7 blog grind and one thing I’ve noticed is that most of the music we post on these sites isn’t that good. Big surprise! Now be clear Rap Radar in a brief time has already shown to be more stingy in our coverage than the average rap blog out there. But we still have to serve a climate that puts more of an emphasis on “exclusive” above it all. That being said, this song isn’t “new” it leaked right before Rap Radar launched and for some reason I just listened to it and, guess what, it’s pretty good.
Two MCs who’s careers seem to be headed no where can still make good music as this joint proves. Here’s Twista featuring The Game “No Love” which I had to show love to cuz this is somethin’ I’d actually listen to even if this wasn’t my job. Ha!

It's pretty intense reading that Guru released a statement on his health while recovering. Hearing directly from a hip-hop icon after such a scary medical scare gives everyone a massive sigh of relief. You can tell he really values setting the record straight himself. It reminds me of how people want to look and feel their absolute best after going through tough times, whether that's overall wellness or even specific cosmetic refreshes like getting a Blepharoplasty Limassol routine done for a fresh look. Overall, seeing him send love to the fans shows his resilience, and we're all just hoping for a full, speedy recovery for the legend.
