Next Stop.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ had good intentions. On their lead off hit, the duo called on rap legends Kool Mo Dee, Melle Mel, and Grandmaster Caz. Unfortunately, the hip-hop community just couldn’t connect with their anthemic effort.

  3. Marvelous says:

It is so obvious how gigantic of a flop this was. Macklemore thought he could release anything and it would turn to gold. Glad this failure gave him a reality check.

    1. Kris Kompute says:

Still charted top 20 (#18) and is certified gold.

  4. Gordon says:

Did he stop returning your calls or something?

That’s all Sonic does to reach the top of the comment section! This is her 50th profile that she’s created. She’s a racist Vietnamese stripper from Atlanta. Take your meds, Sonic! #PillsAreGood

  6. Captain Jack says:

Macklemore is pretty dope! I think this record is like their other records but didn’t connect like the other ones

    1. Kris Kompute says:

Naw, “Can’t Hold Us” was a stadium banger. “Thrift Shop” had the catchiest loop of this decade. “Same Love” promoted the right thing at the right time.

The fact this track broke the top 20 is a win for them.

      1. Captain Jack says:

I thought the hook was catchy enough but I didn’t like the singer’s voice on the hook. It was kind of annoying. He should keep the brotha’s on the hook.

  7. @tr_414 says:

I appreciate the fact that Mack showed love to the old school but the joint was mad corny. I know they were going for a video treatment that evoked a Broadway musical but it came off forced. The video awards performance was dope too but again came off somewhat corny at the same time. Just seems to be a thing w/ol’ boy.

    1. Kris Kompute says:

      Great analysis.

  8. Sean Power says:

it wasn’t made for the hiphop community
