Royal Court.

YN and The King Remembered In Time occupied the throne last week for the latest edition of CRWN. Below is a synopsis of the first half of their conversation.

We’re proud to release the latest episode of #CRWN with Big K.R.I.T. and Elliott Wilson, presented by vitaminwater®. With his new album Cadillactica dropping November 11, K.R.I.T. shared intimate stories about growing up with his grandma, talked about his struggle as an upcoming artist, and explained one of the new songs from the upcoming LP – “King Of The South.” You listening, T.I.?

UPDATE: Pt. 2

In the second and final installment, K.R.I.T. discusses sign to Def Jam , “fringe” influence in his music and more.

“I never really said a word to L.A. Reid. He just shook my hand and I just was smiling,” says KRIT. “They probably thought I was crazy. But the reason I was smiling was that in my mind it seemed too surreal that I was close to escaping poverty.”
