Run-DMC Reunion Scrapped

In March ?uestlove hinted that Run-DMC would perform for the first time since JMJ’s passing at The Roots’ third annual picnic in Philadelphia. But now, he tells Billboard that it’s not happening. Bummer. Instead, The Roots will play background for Ghostface, Method Man and Raekwon. The event goes down June 5th.

Game & Diddy Albums Pushed Back

Rap-Up‘s learned that Game’s The R.E.D. Album and Puff’s Last Train To Paris have been yanked to June 29th. Game was originally scheduled to drop simultaneously with Drake’s debut (June 15th), while Diddy shared the same date as Eminem’s Recovery (June 22nd).

Pharrell & Jay-Z Working On New Collabo

Awhile back, we caught Hov in the lab with the Neptunes. Now, Pharrell tells MTV that he and Jigga got something new up their sleeves. Mums the word. “The guy is 40 and had a #1 record, and he sold more records than anybody in hip-hop at the time his album came out. And it’s still selling. The one thing we’re allowed to say [about our new collaboration] is he and I said that we’re sworn to secrecy.”
