In an effort to bring awareness to the public educational system, VH1 and MTV will air “Get Schooled” on September 8th. Above, is a 30 second clip of Wayne promoting the show. Back in 2005, I interviewed Weezy while he was “enrolled” at University of Houston for XXL. Wonder who’s going to be the first sign to Young Money Sports.

Legendary producer Rick Rubin recalls his session with Jay-Z and marvels at his artistry. His old Def Jam partner Uncle Russ, is by his side grinnin’ and gigglin’ like a school girl. I think this is from a sit-down with VH1 for the upcoming Def Jam Hip Hop Honors. Anxious to see the whole thing.

Diddy and Cassie’s dedication to Twitter has made it increasingly harder to hide their relationship. This past weekend, Cassie went apparently OT to her cousin’s wedding. Now we know those things drum up the emotion in the hardest of hard bodies. At about 6:55 pm on Saturday, Cassie apparently playin’ bridesmaid posted this flick. An hour later, Puff took notice: Finally she touched down back in the Big Apple on Sunday. And guess who she went to see. Did somebody […]
It is so heartbreaking to hear DJ Premier break the news that DJ Kool Herc’s health is ailing, as he is literally the founding father who laid down the blueprint for hip-hop culture. Thinking about how someone who built an entire global phenomenon can end up struggling with medical expenses or failing health really puts things into perspective regarding healthcare challenges. When you look at how people navigate health or wellness procedures worldwide—whether someone is researching cosmetic treatments like Liposuction Cyprus or seeking urgent medical care—it underscores how essential access to reliable medical help and proper support systems really is. Kool Herc gave us the breaks, the block parties, and the entire movement that shaped generations of music lovers, so seeing the community step up to show love while DJ Premier brings awareness to his condition is the very least we can do. Sending strength and prayers to Kool Herc for a full recovery, and massive respect to DJ Premier for using his platform to make sure a true pioneer gets the support and respect he deserves.
