MTV’s 1515 Boys got the exclusive statement from Jadakiss addressing the incident that went down in his apartment last Saturday where drugs and cash were found and two men were arrested prior to the raid. “What happened on Saturday was an unfortunate situation, but one in which I have no involvement in. Since the release of my recent album Last Kiss, I have been on the road touring and promoting my project. I am focused on my performance schedule and […]

[vodpod id=ExternalVideo.866321&w=425&h=350&fv=] If you got close to 15 minutes to spare, here’s a full plate of hip-hop. Dig in. And oh yeah, YN’s with you Mike, it was all about Roxanne Shante and MC Lyte growing up a kid. Nuff respect to L Boogie before the breakdown, but Ms. Moorer might be my G.O.A.T. Props: UNN

Nip Hussle gives Big Snoop D-O-Double-G the blue carpet treatment on this cut from their upcoming collaborative effort. According to Cinematic CEO Jonny Shipes, an incomplete version of this leaked earlier this morning. The audio below is the proper recording.

So far, one of the highlights of my career was penning Boosie’s 2007 feature in XXL’s inaugural Freshman 10 issue. Technically, it was it my first cover story. At the time, he was gaining national attention for his verse on the “Wipe Down (Remix)”. A year later on the street cut, “Don’t I Act A Donkey” he quipped: “I’m bout my mill muthafucka, XXL cover/ But I stand out from everybody though and everybody know”. Here, Boosie reflects on his appearance.

Earlier today, I had a pow wow with señor Bad Azz at Asylum Records. For those keeping score, it’s been three years since the release of Bad Azz. And while most artists fade to obscurity, mixtape releases and guest spots helped preserve his buzz. Following up with Superbad on September 15th, Boosie talks about the postponment. Hang tight, more clips on the way.
There was a big listening of Man On The Moon tonight in the NYC. Lots of journalists and bloggers had their phones and flip cams confiscated to experience the event. Well, YN is still on his couch. But thankfully, my folks at Showing Out hit me with a recap. Like a lot of folks I’m following on Twitter, they’re feelin’ the album. Now this is a bold statement: To put it bluntly, Kanye wishes that he could have made this […]

Now this is a bold statement: To put it bluntly, Kanye wishes that he could have made this album, one that sounds genuine without a single forced element.
Well, read all about here.

The Aftermath producer breaks down the creation of the music behind the Clipse’s first single. I know for a fact that track went through several hands through the years before gettin’ to the Thornton Brothers. But obviously, it was meant to be. The boys from VA nailed this one. Ugh!
Props: HHO

Tyler really snapped on Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale! Each track feels like a fresh chapter, raw and creative. Listening to it at Akala Residences just hits different — perfect vibe, perfect setting. This album’s deluxe edition is pure artistic gold.
