This afternoon, Alexa Chung conducted another boring interview with The Nelly Killer. Below is a performance of his song, “Jump”. No Kriss Kross.

The Bad Azz got nothin’ but love for Da Snowman.
“Jeezy is my homie,” Boosie told us on the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, set of his new “Better Believe It” video. “If we wasn’t rapping, we’d still be click-clackin’. I wanted to get on that album bad. Jeezy put me on that Recession album. I owe him for that. Whatever he needs, I got him. Jeezy, I’m trying to get him to do a mixtape with me right now.”
Now that’s a mixtape I’d pay for! No shots, Nipsey.

Why was the Andy Kaufman of rap, rockin’ a sling at last night’s Slaughterhouse album release party in the Big Apple? Guess he really caught that punch on his shoulder. Get well soon, Mouse.

Ever since Marshall OD’d on “The Warning,” Nick Cannon’s boo has been awfully quiet. Apparently, she’s cancelled all promo for her upcoming album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel and we’re not even sure when it’s gonna be released anymore. Shit, I like “Obsessed” but there’s been reports that radio wasn’t receptive enough, so they were gonna go with another song called “100%.” But after DJ Envy leaked it, they quickly pulled the plug on that too. Sounds like no one can make a decision at Antonio’s house. And I heard MC’s appearance on her hubby’s TV show was pre-taped. Meaning we ain’t even really seen ole girl since Marshall laid the lyrical smackdown. C’mon Carey, let’s go!

Here’s another leak off Dezzy Dez’s album, More Than A DJ. Fitting title for Harlem’s Hugh Hefner.

Celebrating Rocawear’s 10th anniversary, Jay speaks on the concept behind his Spike Lee directed commercial. Who would’ve thought Hov would sell clothing?
“So this guy, he’s in advertisement, and he’s in Rocawear, and he goes
through the day as if he’s Jay-Z,” Hov said of the concept. “He looks
out the window, in his mind — because he’s aspiring to make his own
Rocawear — there’s a group of people outside and they’re waving to him.
As he walks away, realty sets in. Someone looks out the window, and no
one’s out there. He gets on the elevator, and he’s thinking people are
asking him for autographs; no one’s there. He’s on his way to building
his empire, but he has Rocawear on, and that’s a start. So he feels as
if he’s successful already.”

[…] With the advent of drill music, gang life is omnipresent in the current hip-hop/rap landscape. Yet, The Game's depiction of that life in his 2011 song "Red Nation" saw quick banning. In response, The Game hoped more of his songs were banned from radio because they did so well on the internet. […]
