R.I.P. KING
king-rapradar.com

*Sigh* After six years and 50 amazing issues, sources have confirmed that KING magazine has been dethroned due to tough economic times. Their final issue will hit newsstands nationwide April 21 and will feature Joe Budden’s wifey, Tahiry.

“I can only imagine how busy Twitter is right now over this,” quips an unidentified staffer. “I thought we had at least one more issue in us, but in general, I saw it. It definitely sucks, but what can we do, you know?”

As a former contributor, this is especially painful. Shouts to Jermaine, Sean, JFK, Lauren, Matt, Meghan, and Datwon for the ink-credible work over the years. *roll the credits*

Jadakiss Talks Twitter

While promoting his new album, The Last Kiss, at the 2:53 mark, Jason talks about the importance of having a mean Twitter game.

“I was doing satellite radio and Angela Yee. She was like, “Kiss, you got to get on Twitter” I say ‘What’s Twitter?! I signed up right there. I got about a thousand followers. Now, I’m up to prolly like six, seven, eight thousand followers. So, yeah. Diddy is on Twitter, Shaq. All type of people. Twitter is poppin! The NBA is on Twitter!”

And so is YN and Rap Radar. F-f-follower the leaders.

Walk In Fat Joe’s Shoes

Looks like Joey Crack is following in Stephon Marbury’s footsteps after partnering with Protege to launch his own line of kicks dubbed the Recession. How appropriate. There’s no word as to how much the sneaks will cost, but speculation is around 35 bucks and sold at your local, Grey Papaya’s. Just kidding. They’ll be available exclusively at all K-Mart chains. Smart move, if you ask me. Middle America hearts the bluelight special.

Lil Wayne’s Not Doing A Rock Album
wayneguitar-rapradar.com

Baby recently spoke to Vibe‘s Benjamin Meadows-Ingram and shot down rumors of his son Dwayne doing a rock ‘n’ roll album, called Rebirth.

“It’s not a rock record…that’s what I think people are getting misunderstood. When you speaking about a rock record, you think he’s got a guitar and everything, but it’s not that. It’s going to be some of those types of beats, but it’s just great music. I don’t think no artist can do what he about to get done. My son is a rock star.”

Great. “Prom Queen” was giving me an ear infection.

Unreleased Cam’ron: “Spend The Night”

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BF2UYaXOvE]

“The clothes from Italy/ The coke from Sicily/ I’m talkin’ literally/ C’mon now, stop kiddin’ me.”

As anticipation for Crime Pays continues to build, another Cam’ron Giles song appears. Despite more leaks than my old apt on 182 Norfolk, I’m sure the Diplomats founder will insist this will not touch the final CD. Oh well, no such thing as too much Killa.

Check for performances of “In Da Club” and “Wanksta” after the jump.

“One thing everybody knows is this: There’s not one person out there can sit up here and say they slapped Suge Knight or punked Suge Knight.”

Anybody remember MTV’s news show, The Wrap, with the homie Gideon Yago? Prolly not. But this will take you back. Oh how things done changed. Lots of Crooked I, support for Ja Rule, and as far as the statement above, um… Crystal, can you change you my cell #?
