I’ve been so busy doin’ this Double R Dynasty thing, I failed to acknowledge this cool mixtape that dropped a couple of days ago. The homie Splash and the NMC put this thing together so you know it’s certified. Truth be told, I haven’t been able to listen to it yet but let’s just say I can’t wait for the plane ride home.
Props: Omar from XXL. His review reminded me. Love ya boy!

Somehow, YN’s Flip Cam found its way into Dukie Hamilton’s set at SXSW. Before kickin’ a freestyle, Duk’ informs the crowd that he has a new girlfriend. He’s then handed a cell phone and presumably places a call to… Rihanna? Hmm. I dont know about you, but my spidey senses are tingling.

I still can’t believe there’s really a rapper named OJ Da Juiceman. He betta be a killa. Speaking of which, did Cam show up for this? I’d be shocked if he did. Giles has always been on some, now you see him, now you don’t shit.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, VH1 plans on bringing their Behind The Music series back with Lil Wayne as one of the artists profiled. It’s almost surreal that this is the guy everyone has a hard-on for these days. SMH.

God. Damn. Rhymefest recently sat down with blog roll occupant, Karen Civil and ripped Dukie Hamilton a new one.
“This is hip-hop. This ain’t for bitch niggas. This ain’t for bitch bitches. This ain’t for pussies. This is hip-hop. If you say something about somebody or to a muthafucka, be ready to respond.”
“I am a man. I’m a not a little cutesy muthafucka with smedium sweaters. I’m not a hipster. I’m fuckin’ hip-hop. I am hip-hop. I am Wu-Tang, I am Chuck D, I am LL Cool J. I’m El Che. I am Rhymefest. I am not, the guy that sells headphones at the Mac store. That is not me.”
Who Got The Props? Karen Civil

Yo, this new track from The Chef is an absolute banger! Raekwon never misses when it comes to dropping that gritty, vintage hip-hop storytelling. The beat on "Travel Places" hits hard and takes you right back to the golden era. Listening to this makes me want to pack my bags, catch a flight, and book a reliable Taxi kilimanjaro airport to Moshi just to go explore the world with some heavy bars in my headphones.
