Solange elevator incident. T.I. vs. Mayweather in a Fatburger. Flex vs. Dame. Chuck D vs. Hot 97. Slowbucks gets attacked on the Summer Jam stage and then calls a press conference? Scuffling with DJ Mustard in the Bay? Oy vey. I don’t like any of it. Rap is outta control. We need a board. We need Jesus. It’s gonna be a hot summer. Get our pool in the back. And don’t forget your Rap Radar cup. Drink it all in.
What’chu takin ’bout young Bieberveli? Yeah these n word tapes from your past are very disturbing but let’s hope it was just a case of teenage ignorance. You’re a man now, kid. Make it right, Justin.

This excerpt does an excellent job of balancing mystery with character development. Sarah’s transformation feels believable and unsettling at the same time, and Nico’s internal struggle adds emotional realism. The fact that she forgets both trivial details and life-altering events shows how completely her past has been erased. I love how the story hints that the truth is still buried beneath the surface, creating a sense that the past will inevitably resurface, no matter how much is forgotten. tvg
