Well this was quite random, but good. The BET Awards paid tribute to dancehall this evening with Jabba, Chaka Demus & Pliers, Beenie Man and Elephant Man. Lawdamercy.

Charlie Wilson was honored tonight with the “Lifetime Achievement” award. Following his acceptance speech, India.Arie, Jamie Foxx, JT, Snoop, and Pharrell paid tribute with a medley. Outstanding.

Heads up. After taking the “Best R&B Artist” award, Miguel served the Nokia Theatre with “How Many Drinks” with this year’s “Best Hip-Hop and New Artist”, Kendrick Lamar. Bottoms up.

Robert Kelly sure has a lot of hits. And this evening, the Pied Piper premiered a new song and then took it back with a medley of his previous bangers. From the church to the bedroom, rock out with Kells.

Surrounded by chandeliers, MiMi graced the Nokia Theatre stage with Miguel and Da Snowman for their “#Beautiful (Remix)“. Afterwards, Jeezy lit up the stage for “R.I.P.”. They just killed the theatre.

Kendrick missed accepting his “Best New Artist” Award, but he hit the stage for “m.A.A.d City” and “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” with Ms. Badu. These two go hand-to-hand.

Robin Thicke blurred the lines with Pharrell and T.I. tonight at the BET Awards. Blue Eyed Soul wins again! Blurred Lines drops July 30th.
