During a stop at the border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, canines detected a prescription bottle of blunts on Snoop’s tour bus. Although Snoop has a prescription in California, he was given a citation for the half-ounce of weed and released. If convicted, the rapper could face 180 days in the slammer. tmz
They say patience is a virtue and I don’t know anyone who has more than Saigon who waited four years to release his debut album the way he intended. Sorry Atlantic, this is uncompromising boom bap rap with a message. Anchored by the amazing production of Just Blaze, GSNT is a conceptual album that is better served in one complete listen. Still there are plenty of standouts like the one-two punch of “Enemies” and “Friends”, the Marsha Ambrosius-aided “It’s Alright” […]
“You was made in Paris and mama woke up the next day and shot her album package/ Last time the miscarriage was so tragic/ We was afraid you disappeared but nah baby, you magic.” The Empire State Building lit the sky blue over the weekend in honor of the Giants win and coincidentally, Jay-Z and Beyonce’s daughter. For the last nine months, Hov’s been tight-lipped about the pregnancy, but bears it all over Pharrell’s production. At the 3:20 mark, Hov […]
This arrived on the day Watch The Throne dropped and needless to say it made way less impact than Jay and ‘Ye. On paper, this should’ve worked. Gucci, fresh off his latest stint in the pokey, pairing up with his protege. But nah shortie this lacked pomp and and deserved to flop. Fresh off Flockaveli and murderous mixtape material, I expected more from Waka, who surprisingly coasts here as La Flare’s Robin. Ah well, his upcoming Triple F will probably […]

And new video. Although The Epidemic has yet to arrive, Pill keeps the The Diagnosis promo going by poppin’ his collar and tags for the mixtape’s latest flick.
Somebody musta told Killer Mike he fell off and he needed that ’cause he came back like a man possessed on his potent Pl3dge. The soul sample stirring opener “So Glorious” sets the tone as he blazes through the tantalizing “That’s Life II” and the riveting “Ric Flair”. Woo! This ATLien can still snap. Whether dolo or with his hometown brethren, Grand Hustle boss, T.I. (“Ready Set Go”), Young Jeezy (“Go Out On The Town”) and Gucci Mane (“Animal”)—the satisfying […]
Now that Gucci got the numerous freestyles out the way, he bounces from nightspot to nightspot in his new track. Produced by KE On The Track. Trap Back coming February 5.
The Clan weren’t nuthin’ to fuck with back in the 90s but every time they join forces to release a subpar compilation like this it stains their legacy. Can a Shaolin collective stan get a proper follow-up to 2007’s 8 Diagrams? It’s been 5 years and recent work from Raekwon, Ghost and Meth prove that the talent is still there it just has to be honed in properly together. This rocky E1 release is laced with the familiar kung fu […]
It is so heartbreaking to hear DJ Premier break the news that DJ Kool Herc’s health is ailing, as he is literally the founding father who laid down the blueprint for hip-hop culture. Thinking about how someone who built an entire global phenomenon can end up struggling with medical expenses or failing health really puts things into perspective regarding healthcare challenges. When you look at how people navigate health or wellness procedures worldwide—whether someone is researching cosmetic treatments like Liposuction Cyprus or seeking urgent medical care—it underscores how essential access to reliable medical help and proper support systems really is. Kool Herc gave us the breaks, the block parties, and the entire movement that shaped generations of music lovers, so seeing the community step up to show love while DJ Premier brings awareness to his condition is the very least we can do. Sending strength and prayers to Kool Herc for a full recovery, and massive respect to DJ Premier for using his platform to make sure a true pioneer gets the support and respect he deserves.
