Although he got by with a lil help from the Big Homie, Mr. West did shine on his own and with other friends. Here are two of my favorite performances from the Vevo show. No mas on this night’s footage. Guess none of us respected the no camera rule. Oops!

Of course, Mr. Finally Famous got a chance to present his current single. No C Breezy unfortunately. Let’s hope the current changes at Def Jam don’t affect dude’s project.
The man with the mixtape droppin’ today dropped a taste of his Hit-Boy banger at the VEVO show too. Victor or Victim? Oh hello, Steven. Ha!
OK I can’t cosign dude’s outfit but I do dig this new Mos Def track he debuted on Fuel TV. Dante actually opened the entire Vevo show and it’s a lil bizarre seeing a G.O.O.D. Music emblem behind him. Guess you gotta get in where you fit in. A lil “Lord, Lord, Lord” after the jump.
Pardon my shaky camerawork during Mr. West’s verse, I had to tussle with some eager drunk fans to get this footage but here’s the opener of the ‘Ye-Jay set from the VEVO show. Watch The Throne is still on the way. The dynamic duo closed things out with “Big Pimpin’” below for the Texas crowd. RIP Pimp C. Happy Born Day, Bun B.
The pride of Gary, Indiana was also in the Lone Star State this past weekend and performed at the Perfect Attendance showcase Friday night. We see you, Erick Sermon. missdimplez
After Kanye brought out Hov, the pair recited their verses from “Monster” and almost “Swagger Like Us” (Mr. West forgot his verse. Ha!). Mr. Carter then took over with a “PSA” before getting “So Appalled” with Mr. West . Below, Ye and Pusha “Runaway” and the show closed with the entire G.O.O.D. fam for the “Good Life”.
More footage on the way, but while you wait, here are some photos shot by Daniel Boczarski during Kanye’s VEVO Power Station event last night, which included Jay-Z and the entire G.O.O.D. Music crew. miss info
[vodpod id=Video.5804070&w=540&h=350&fv=%26rel%3D0%26border%3D0%26] Curren$y and Killer Mike were also one of the many artists on the bill for Fader Fort in Austin, TX. In case you missed it, Curren$y does his thing up top, while Killer Mike does the same below.
Into the wee hours of the morning, Kanye, the G.O.O.D Music Family, and Jay-Z closed out the SXSW festivities in Austin, TX. Until more footage surfaces, Cudi and ‘Ye run through track two off MBDTF. Pump up the “Power” below.
Diddy crashed the SXSW weekend yesterday as host at Fader Fort and introduced Based God as the final act during last night’s show. Afterwards, Puff took to the stage for a set of his own hits before Odd Future blessed the stage as the surprise guests. #Swag miss info
Snoop, Warren G, and Tha Dogg Pound honored the late Nate Dogg at SXSW’s VIBE/Cashmere Agency event last night in Austin. Regulators mount up once again. After the jump, Puff joins the tribute paying respects to B.I.G. and Pac as well.
During BET’s Music Matters “Baby I’m A Star” panel on Thursday, Jermaine touched on creative marketing in the music industry and uses the Based God as an example of how genius his movement is. Thank you, Jermaine. kn
Odd Future continued their SXSW takeover at The Thrasher Party. Above, the collective’s Tyler, The Creator leaps from the speakers and crowd surfs accidentally breaking a spectator’s nose. Hodgy Beats takes an even bigger dive below.
[vodpod id=Video.5799563&w=540&h=350&fv=%26rel%3D0%26border%3D0%26] VIBE and Cashmere Agency packed the Venue 222 for the first two nights of SXSW. In case you couldn’t make it to the event, here’s a recap of what you missed with performances from some familiar faces.
Before Wiz got down to biz Thursday night, Atlantic’s other stars B.o.B. and Janelle Monáe hit the stage at La Zona Rosa. Up top, Bobby Ray and Playboy Tre run through “Bet I” sans T.I. of course. More footage below.
Fuck the law! But last night at Emo’s, Asher Roth and Nottz enforced it by performing their Rawth EP track and Peter Rosenberg was there to get it on film.
Peter Rosenberg continues his hilarious chat with Odd Future, where the collective share their musical interests growing up as well as a debate over Earl Sweatshirt and an 18 year-old Nasir. Earl or Illmatic? Go!
Light Skinned Jermaine is also down in Austin for SXSW and during the BET Music Matters showcase, he let go the same freestyle he did at House of Blues in L.A., but with a few more bars. heads up: kingz Sidebar: Unreleased pre-Warm Up, “The Good Son Pt. 1” via J.Cole Nation
After a few members of the Wu-Tang Clan closed out the 2011 Village Voice and Frank 151 Showdown, Badu transformed into her alter-ego, DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown and took over the 1s and 2s.
