Looks like Rozay’s release isn’t the only thing goin’ down in three days. Sorry Paul. RD
When Lil Wayne is released from prison later this year, he’s going to answer to Uncle Sam. The Detroit News says the IRS hit Dwayne with a $1.13 million tax lien to his One Family Foundation last month for unpaid taxes from 2004, 2005 and 2007. Two years ago, Weezy was smacked with a $977,840 lien, but paid the debt off soon after. I’m sure he’s got enough cash money to pay this one off or he’ll end up like this guy.
Now that Drake’s back on the road, he appeared at this year’s Bluesfest in Canada last night. He switched things up and for the first time performed “Fancy” and “Paris Morton Music”. After the jump, he leads off with “Show Me A Good Time”. Oh yeah! atf
Do you believe in magic? Apparently, 50 Cent doesn’t anymore. In an interview with RollingStone Brasil, Fif says that he’s not sure if Black Magic will be his next album. To hear him tell it, the sound no longer fits the original concept. hhnm
Guess they couldn’t find anyone for J.Cole huh? Affion returns channeling Hov once again, but this time in an ode to LeBron’s decision. Not as funny as the parody from the other day, but worth a chuckle

“Maybe it’s time for your label to sign a new act” Crooked I’s EP, Planet C.O.B Vol. 1 drops August 17th, and while we wait about a month for its release, here is the official first single. Word to everythang, this one isn’t bad. splash
This was shot during the Puerto Rican Day Parade last month. If the track sounds familiar, it’s because it’s from Capone-N-Noreaga’s Camouflage Season mixtape. Remember The War Report 2 in stores now. Run for cover…and to Best Buy. 57ave
Ron Ron was back in Long Island City yesterday to celebrate his Ron Artest BBQ at Queensbridge Park. Funkmaster Flex was on the turntables and EPMD gave a performance. Oh yeah, as for that Fuck LeBron party at Club Element tonight, believe half of what you read. Sidebar: Penny Hardaway Making A Comeback? Boi Stooop! 57ave
Man, this drop from Masspike Miles is seriously smooth from start to finish. The Road Less Traveled totally delivers on that signature R&B vibe, and the production choices across these tracks are just insane. It honestly feels more complete than a lot of full-length albums out right now. Tracks like "Devoted" with Bun B and the title track hit different when you are just cruising around the city late at night. If you are heading out to grab the physical copy or hitting up a late-night listening session across town, trying to flag down reliable taxi services can sometimes be a real hassle, so planning ahead definitely saves the mood. Overall, this project proves why he is such a vital part of the Maybach crew. Definitely keep this one on repeat for a while.
