Shyne keeps callin’ me, but I don’t wanna pick up. I hate it. Hate that he keeps callin’. Hate what I would have to say him. Hate the way he sounds. Hate what people are saying about the way he sounds. Really hate what people are saying about him. Ask around. Find out, he wants to sound like that. Doesn’t ever want to be viewed as a Big soundalike again. Never again. Won’t accept criticism. Constructive or not. But then, […]

Nicki Minaj recently gave a Question and Answer to Details magazine. Below are some excerpts from the sitdown. Q: As an openly bisexual rapper, do you think hip-hop is getting more gay-friendly? A: I think the world is getting more gay-friendly, so hip-hop is too. But it’s harder to imagine an openly gay male rapper being embraced. People view gay men as having no street credibility. Not even Vinnie of Naughty By Nature is down with O.P.P. Yesterday Kweli sent out an APB via Twitter for his stolen belongings. His laptop and phone were swiped from his dressing room in Melbourne, Australia. Fortunately, the culprit Amir Bashir was caught on surveillance cameras. Vin Rock told Kweli that he knew the crook came and recovered the stolen items. Must be a small world after all. Now as for that Yankee hat…
Man, this drop from Masspike Miles is seriously smooth from start to finish. The Road Less Traveled totally delivers on that signature R&B vibe, and the production choices across these tracks are just insane. It honestly feels more complete than a lot of full-length albums out right now. Tracks like "Devoted" with Bun B and the title track hit different when you are just cruising around the city late at night. If you are heading out to grab the physical copy or hitting up a late-night listening session across town, trying to flag down reliable taxi services can sometimes be a real hassle, so planning ahead definitely saves the mood. Overall, this project proves why he is such a vital part of the Maybach crew. Definitely keep this one on repeat for a while.
