Yes, we know this was released a few days ago. Just got around to listening to a good majority of the mixtape. Plus, the cover art on this is smoking. Download here. Backcover after the jump.

Rihanna dips it low (and high) in her new video off Rated R. Too bad, nice guys finish last.
We’ve heard this before. NY Mag caught up with Scottie last night at his HBO series How To Make It In America’s screening in NYC and the rapper/actor says after about 4 or 5 albums, he will more than likely put down the mic and pick up the script. “I’m trying to evenly balance them out right now, but eventually I want to leave behind music and just do acting,” he said. “I only got into the music business to tell […]
Guest bloggin’ for XXL, Sirius XM’s DJ Skee gave his opinion that Drake should have never signed with a major label. Guess you only get one chance to change the music industry. Whether you agree or not, it’s an interesting piece. Here’s a sample. I don’t mean to give away the secrets on what I’m working on, but imagine going to company X, who cuts a check to have Drake be a spokesperson for the brand, then pays to create […]
In case you were sleepin’ under a rock or a foot of snow today, John Mayer’s recent provocative interview with Playboy magazine has become a national scandal. In the article, he uses the “N-word” and compares his penis to a white supremacist. Yup, fun stuff. Anyways, as you can imagine Twitter was on fire today with folks observations. Here’s what our culture had to say. After laying low for most of day, Mayer’s back on Twitter addressing the drama. Stay […]
During a recent photoshoot for Food Magazine, Juicy J and DJ Paul hit up Wolfgang Puck’s Beverly Hills Spago restaurant and showed off their culinary skills. What’s beef? Rap-Up
“Crush ’em like Curtis did Jeffrey” The Midwest gangsta is back with another one and this time on the set of his interview with ThisIsCurtis. Nice español Gangsta Gibbs. Smells good to me. Now bag the shit up.
In case you missed it, this was the exclusive snippet from yesterday’s Toca Tuesdays show. The final version of this song will feature Joell Ortiz and possibly one or two more MC’s. It’s from the upcoming Pun project above which now will be pushed back a few more weeks so it can be released on iTunes. All proceeds will go to Liza Rios and the kids.
Another monsterous track from J. Cardim. This was initially for Juelz’ Born to Lose, Built to Win album, but Santana Bandana let Cardim have it for the opening track for his upcoming compilation Dice Music Group presents The In Crowd. Ay! This was one is nice. NMC

Big fan of the group but not really this particular joint. Oh well, good to see to the OG’s back in action. EW
It is so heartbreaking to hear DJ Premier break the news that DJ Kool Herc’s health is ailing, as he is literally the founding father who laid down the blueprint for hip-hop culture. Thinking about how someone who built an entire global phenomenon can end up struggling with medical expenses or failing health really puts things into perspective regarding healthcare challenges. When you look at how people navigate health or wellness procedures worldwide—whether someone is researching cosmetic treatments like Liposuction Cyprus or seeking urgent medical care—it underscores how essential access to reliable medical help and proper support systems really is. Kool Herc gave us the breaks, the block parties, and the entire movement that shaped generations of music lovers, so seeing the community step up to show love while DJ Premier brings awareness to his condition is the very least we can do. Sending strength and prayers to Kool Herc for a full recovery, and massive respect to DJ Premier for using his platform to make sure a true pioneer gets the support and respect he deserves.
