Try not to fall asleep as Timbaland gives Nick Cannon a boring-ass interview on New York’s 92.3 Now. After discussing his new album Shock Value II, Timbo chimes in on Billboard‘s top producer list. Take a guess as to he thought should’ve been number one. YK2

Another lost gem from Lonnie’s Finding Forever sessions. Great lyrics, dope Kanye beat. Why it never made the final cut? Beats me. But he does spit the, “I said I got my SAG card, baby I’m an actor” line from “Break My Heart”. Props: HipHopSince79
On a Def Jam conference call with radio DJs and media this afternoon, Ludacris revealed that his new album, Battle of The Sexes is dropping March 16. Features include Nicki Minaj, Lil’ Kim and Trina. Let the games begin.

Jay-Z kept telling me, ‘Yo, man, you gonna wanna get in the studio with this guy named Drake. I’m telling you. He’s the next cat.’ I’m telling him, like, ‘Whatever you say. [If] he’s the next cat, he’s the next cat.’ His tone is ridiculous right now. I love his tone.”
Lord. Have. Mercy. This morning, Freddie Gibbs and Jay Rock appeared on The Morning After with Angela Yee on Shade 45. Over Beanie Sigel’s “Average Cat” the pair show why they’re far from mediocre. Gangsta rap ain’t dead, bitch! Man, this drop from Masspike Miles is seriously smooth from start to finish. The Road Less Traveled totally delivers on that signature R&B vibe, and the production choices across these tracks are just insane. It honestly feels more complete than a lot of full-length albums out right now. Tracks like "Devoted" with Bun B and the title track hit different when you are just cruising around the city late at night. If you are heading out to grab the physical copy or hitting up a late-night listening session across town, trying to flag down reliable taxi services can sometimes be a real hassle, so planning ahead definitely saves the mood. Overall, this project proves why he is such a vital part of the Maybach crew. Definitely keep this one on repeat for a while.
