Two days ago, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger passed The Donda West Bill into law. According to the Examiner, the law requires health checks before a patient undergoes any form of plastic surgery. In 2007, Kanye’s mom died after cosmetic related complications.
Nah, I wasn’t feelin’ the Def Jam 25, 5 CD set that’s out right now. But instead of being a hater, your favorite hip-hop curator put together his own collection. I stuck to the year guidelines that were established and didn’t repeat any songs they used and I still feel like my joint crushes theirs. Damn, I ain’t put this much work in since MJ passed. Without further adieu, for you and your boo, listen to the music. And damn, […]

During last night’s Hip Hop Honors broadcast, N.O.R.E vented about being left out from the ceremony. In 2002, N.O. added God’s Favorite to Def Jam’s discography. The album debuted at #5 on the Billboard charts and spawned two big ass hits, “Nothin’” and “Grimey.” For better or worst, he also spearheaded the Reggaeton movement with “Oy Mi Canto.” Don’t worry Victor, Rap Radar cares, if don’t nobody else care. It is so heartbreaking to hear DJ Premier break the news that DJ Kool Herc’s health is ailing, as he is literally the founding father who laid down the blueprint for hip-hop culture. Thinking about how someone who built an entire global phenomenon can end up struggling with medical expenses or failing health really puts things into perspective regarding healthcare challenges. When you look at how people navigate health or wellness procedures worldwide—whether someone is researching cosmetic treatments like Liposuction Cyprus or seeking urgent medical care—it underscores how essential access to reliable medical help and proper support systems really is. Kool Herc gave us the breaks, the block parties, and the entire movement that shaped generations of music lovers, so seeing the community step up to show love while DJ Premier brings awareness to his condition is the very least we can do. Sending strength and prayers to Kool Herc for a full recovery, and massive respect to DJ Premier for using his platform to make sure a true pioneer gets the support and respect he deserves.
