Damn, must be a Chi-Town thing. While showing off his new Maybach, Kells reveals he broke his recent diet ’cause that Harold’s Chicken be callin’ him, bruh. *Dead* at him askin’ if his flip cam can “pan back.” SMH. Old habits are hard to break. Props: Skee

[vodpod id=Groupvideo.3645654&w=425&h=350&fv=] People love to tell this story again and again about how hard 50 works. I get it, he works hard. We all should. No hard feelings but I missed seeing myself in last night’s Behind The Music. Guess I wasn’t holding my poms poms high enough in front of the camera to make the final cut. Ha!

Favor for a favor. Ha! Anyways, on the set of a Triple C’s video, The Bawse and Da Snowman had some interesting things to say about carrying on tradition and their status in the game. Ross: “To be a part of Def Jam, I feel that the biggest legacies have been lived at Def Jam. From the dudes I love like EPMD, of course the LL Cool […]
Guess who’s bizack. Ri-Ri announced on her new Twitter account last night that she’s ready to knock a few cats off the top of the charts this fourth quarter. Count me in as part of the hype machine ’cause I really wanna hear how the Fuck Boy Brown incident has affected her music. Straight from The A has gathered all the new flicks and behind the scenes video of the album cover shoot. Good luck to you, Ms. Fenty. Sidebar: […]
[vodpod id=Groupvideo.3645382&w=425&h=350&fv=] I respect T La Rock’s “It’s Yours” as the classic that it is, but when I think of the real first record produced by Def Jam Recordings, it’s LL Cool J’s “I Need A Beat.” The above vignette was my favorite from last night’s show. I love to hear the story again and again on how James Todd met Rick Rubin. So legendary. Hey, who still needs a rip? VH1 did the right thing and put the whole […]
First, it was a “Doggy Dogg World.” Now, it’s a “World Of A Gangsta.” I can’t keep up. Malice In Wonderland drops December 8th. Splash
Unbeknownst to me, J.R. Writer was shot in the leg this past Saturday in The Bronx. Recovering at home, he spoke to XXL about the situation. “They wasn’t trying to rob nuthin’, they looked more like they was going to kill something. None of us was strapped, we actually thought we was in a low spot in the BX. On top of that we been coming there for the past three months with no problems working on my album and […]

Unfortunately, the statue didn’t allow Jeezy to go into detail. Props: 1515
Who knew Kay Slay was so fashion conscious? At the 1:04 mark, The Drama King debunks the death of jean shorts and targets you “cargo short niggas.” Ha! Props: YK2 Previously: Kay Slay’s Not Feelin’ Your Tight Jeans
[vodpod id=Groupvideo.3640500&w=425&h=350&fv=] Not in those exact words, but Juve tells XXL that he’s not waving the white flag anytime soon. Besides, he’s still paypah chasin’.
Man, this drop from Masspike Miles is seriously smooth from start to finish. The Road Less Traveled totally delivers on that signature R&B vibe, and the production choices across these tracks are just insane. It honestly feels more complete than a lot of full-length albums out right now. Tracks like "Devoted" with Bun B and the title track hit different when you are just cruising around the city late at night. If you are heading out to grab the physical copy or hitting up a late-night listening session across town, trying to flag down reliable taxi services can sometimes be a real hassle, so planning ahead definitely saves the mood. Overall, this project proves why he is such a vital part of the Maybach crew. Definitely keep this one on repeat for a while.
