You would think I was on Mr. Manda‘s payroll. Nope!
Sorry B. Dot. Here’s another one from my new favorite H Town crew. This joint is one part fun party jam, one part tribute to Mrs. Carter. Pardon that autotune at the end, SC. These kids today say the darndest things!

Say it ain’t so. Contrary to previous reports, Slate reveals that Roxanne Shante was never contractually signed to Warner Bros. In fact, there’s no proof that the label paid for her college education. She admits to the site that she is not a doctor nor has a license to practice psychology (or any related field) in NY state. Lucy Roxy, you got some esplainin‘ to do.

With the untimely demise of DJ AM last Friday, Activision issued this statement:
We are deeply saddened by the loss of DJ AM, who was a tremendous talent, a trusted partner and friend to DJ Hero. Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family. AM was instrumental in the making of DJ Hero and we hope that his work on the game will be a fitting tribute to his creative spirit and musical talent.

The Good News: Today, Good Morning America aired footage of Whitney Houston’s performance yesterday in Central Park. In front of 5,000 she ran through some oldies and goodies and even brought out her baritoned daughter, Lil Mama Bobbi Kristina to assist on “My Love Is Your Love.”
The Bad News: Today, Good Morning America aired footage of Whitney Houston’s performance yesterday in Central Park. And to be frank, she sounded like shit. According to the NY Daily News, before performing “Every Woman” she said “I’m so sorry. I did Oprah. I’ve been talking for so long. … I talked so much, my voice. I shouldn’t be talking. I should be singing.” Chaka Khan is probably somewhere pissed. I Look To You is in stores now.

The bridge is over, my dick! In an interview with Street Disciplez Radio, MC Shan takes a #1…and a #2 on Joe Budden. Around the 1:20 mark, he challenges Mr. Tahiry to a fair one.

But, that’s where it stops. Surrounded by his Triple C cohorts, Ross commends Marshall for his verse on “Forever.” He still wants to battle him, but then goes onto say, “He might want to do a record with me.” Don’t count on it.

This one still holds up as a smooth, R&B-leaning Drake cut — the vocal melody is what sticks with me most. It also got me thinking about how short music clips travel now: a single photo can become a whole dance moment. I recently tried Dime Dime Baby AI Video Generator, which turns one photo into a 15-second vertical dance video with the original music for TikTok and Reels (https://dime-dime-baby-ai.video/). Fun way to give an old favorite a new visual life.
