Now, this is what I call hip-hop set out in the park. Check out Rae and Ghost rocking out to “Criminology” during a taping of BET’s The Deal at 106 and Park. (No TV show). If you can break curfew, check out the full episode next week at 3.A.M. Props: SRD
K-Dot > Jay Rock > [insert your name here] > Lil Wayne. Seriously Dwayne, step it up.
No, Cosmo Kramer. But in part of Jigga’s interview with O magazine, he talks about how Dick Gregory’s autobiography made a difference in his life. No need for Jay to tell ya, it’s already a best seller. “I don’t know who turned me on to this autobiography, but his sense of humor and the hardships he went through stayed with me—especially the scene where he started running home from school. It led to his joining the track team, which led […]
Peep Teairra Marí tooting that thang last night at B.B. King Bar & Grill in NYC. Word is she did a similar dance to stay on The Roc. Relax, it’s just a lil’ jokey joke. Props: HHNM
You would think I was on Mr. Manda‘s payroll. Nope! Sorry B.Dot. Here’s another one from my new favorite H-Town crew. This joint is one part fun party jam, one part tribute to Mrs. Carter. Pardon that autotune at the end, SC. These kids today say the darndest things! Previously: Young Problemz Feat. Mike Jones x Gucci Mane “Boi” (Video)
Say it ain’t so. Contrary to previous reports, Slate reveals that Roxanne Shante was never contractually signed to Warner Bros. In fact, there’s no proof that the label paid for her college education. She admits to the site that she is not a doctor nor has a license to practice psychology (or any related field) in NY state. Lucy Roxy, you got some esplainin‘ to do.
This was from my meet-n-greet on Monday. Here, Slick Rick‘s right handman, recognizes Hov for his philanthropy and 9/11/01. “Answer The Call” concert goes down September 11th. Bring your earplugs. Bonus: Blueprint 3 Scans | Preview Of Oprah’s Interview With Jay-Z (Think she transcribed it? Ha!)
Here’s another underwhelming track from the Bad Boy family. I’m sure after several hundred spins, it’ll “grow” on you. This that Dirty Money. And I need a shower. Download it here. HHNM

The Good News: Today, Good Morning America aired footage of Whitney Houston’s performance yesterday in Central Park. In front of 5,000 she ran through some oldies and goodies and even brought out her baritoned daughter, Lil Mama Bobbi Kristina to assist on “My Love Is Your Love.” The Bad News: Today, Good Morning America aired footage of Whitney Houston’s performance yesterday in Central Park. And to be frank, she sounded like shit. According to the NY Daily News, before performing […]
Masego continues to show his creativity and versatility with Studying Abroad: Extended Stay. The combination of live instrumentation, smooth vocals, and West Indian influences makes this project an exciting listening experience. Adding new collaborations with talented artists gives fans even more reasons to explore the album and appreciate its musical diversity. I also appreciate how music and learning can connect through creativity, exploration, and new experiences. In the same way that listeners explore different musical styles, people can improve their practical skills by learning useful techniques such as "How to calculate proportions easily". Understanding proportions can make everyday calculations, comparisons, and problem solving much simpler. This is a great reminder that exploring new ideas can be rewarding in music, education, and daily life.
