“Holy water/Odds against ‘Ye will slaughter/Ever since that day I opened up that Midnight Marauder.”
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think this is a song that most of you have never heard before. I do think they performed this at the SXSW Fader show in Austin. Here’s the first leak off Big Sean’s Finally Famous debut. Let them shoulders move.

Various sources, including Spin, are claimin’ Rihanna cooked somethin’ up in the studio with the Diamond Princess that goes at that fuck boy Chris Brown. Sounds too good to be true, especially when it says that this joint below is Ri-Ri’s current ringtone. SMH. You can’t make this up. I mean, actually you can.

Our dude J-Rod chopped it up with the hottest MC in the game for Wenner Media. Drake admits in the piece he was a lil’ nervous about his Hot 97 debut. Put your blackberry down and read this:
“That was probably, to be honest, the first time in a long time I was nervous,” Drake says now, recalling the moment. “I don’t get nervous for much. But it was like the first time I was like, ‘Wow, this is a legendary moment and a legendary opportunity that I’m being given.’ It was crazy to be standing in the Hot 97 radio room looking at Flex in the booth. Doing what I seen him do for so many years, for some of the greatest artist to ever be in this business. And to think it was just me there and it was all happening for me, it was definitely … Surreal is the word.”
Humility is cool, but you gotta rise to the occassion. Let’s go Drizzy!
So around 9pm tonight EST, Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex will play the world premiere of Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 single, “D.O.A.” That stands for Death of Autotune as Kanye teased on MTV awhile back. The song was produced by No ID and Mr. West. On Sunday, it will be sent to the masses. Unless LowKey or Mr. X hit the jackpot. Ha!
Sidebar: Despite various reports, as far as I know Hov will not be at Hot 97 Summer Jam on Sunday. But you never know.
Also on their reporting grind: Herfection who noticed Skee runnin’ his jibs.
Update: Skee’s still snitchin’.
That’s enough for time Mr. Carter to come to his senses. Ha! But then again…

This week, Bfred crosses the Hudson and pays homage to one of New Jeru’s finest.
Eminem gives respect to Treach as one of the most innovative lyricists of the early ’90s, and Naughty By Nature’s main producer—Kier “Kay Gee” Gist—is long overdue for a similar recognition on the music tip. After debuting in 1989 as a trio named The New Style, this group of East Orange, New Jersey friends landed a management deal with Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit. They soon changed their named to Naughty By Nature, got signed to Tommy Boy and started producing for Flavor Unit’s roster. The group’s classic self-titled debut featured “O.P.P.,” one of rap music’s first massive crossover hits that didn’t sacrifice hip-hop credibility. Download here. Tracklist after the jump.
According to Billboard:
An unauthorized album, The Girls Love Drake, which features
selections from the Toronto rapper’s mixtape So Far Gone and
other tracks, was released May 28th by a label called Canadian
Money Entertainment and distributed by the Independent Online
Distribution Alliance (IODA) on iTunes, Rhapsody and Amazon. Drake’s camp, which is still trying to clear the samples on So Far
Gone and his two other mixtapes in hopes of selling them in
stores, says it didn’t authorize the release.
