Phonte, one half of the prolific rap duo Little Brother, was impressed with what he heard and reached out to collaborate. Their intercontinental alliance resulted in Connected, the debut album from their group Foreign Exchange, which celebrated its 20th anniversary last weekend. The 17-song album is lauded as one of the first prominent examples of an MC singing as well as exploring multiple genres on a singular project.
