Inspired by Michelle Alexander’s book, The New Jim Crow, The Roots affiliate’s concept LP, Jimmie’s Back is on the way. Until it arrives, here’s its first taste to hold us over. Says him. [Jimmies Book] is an outline of my life at age 11 to 16, where the block was everything to me. Where I pretty much learned what I know today far as street smarts and my view of the world at that point.
