The BET Awards weekend is underway and last night the Staples Center hosted the BET Experience concert. Snoop had a handful of guests including Dr. Dre, Future, Trinidad James and Ace Hood. Also on the bill were Miguel, who covered Tupac, Kendrick Lamar as well as J.Cole who brought out Wale. If you couldn’t attend the festivities, HHH has a few clips from the evening.

The 26th Annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards went down last night in Beverly Hills. During the ceremony, Kendrick received his Vanguard Award from the Doc. “Kendrick Lamar is a class act,” said Dre as he took the podium at the Beverly Hilton. “I’m proud to know him. I’m proud to work with him and he is an important part of the new generation of hip-hop, and it’s definitely continuing the legacy of Compton.” ru

Recession? What recession? Later today, Dr. Dre and business partner Jimmy Iovine will donate $70 million to the University of Southern California. The endowment will be used to create the Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation.
