For years, Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex has been called every name under the sun for championing certain artists. Promoting his new show Full Throttle on Angie Martinez’s afternoon drive today, The Kingpin admitted to favoring New York artists.
Last night, DJ Clue added fuel to his long standing beef with Funkmaster Flex. The former colleagues have traded barbs ever since Clue left Hot 97 for rival station Power 105.1 in 2006. The pair currently compete during the same time slot. But things weren’t always this messy. In the clip above, The Kingpin gives Clueminati props at the 1:30 mark. Hopefully this video doesn’t kill either radio star.
