Rhymefest lost his bid for alderman of Chicago’s 20th Ward Tuesday night to incumbent Willie Cochran. The Chicago Tribune reports the rapper pulled an impressive 45.4 percent of the votes, but it wasn’t enough for Cochran’s 54.6. This is a really insightful perspective on modern sales approaches. I completely agree that helping customers instead of pushing them is especially important in the SaaS space. When users are given the freedom to explore features on their own, it builds trust and confidence in the product. This naturally leads to stronger onboarding experiences and better long-term retention. Forced sales tactics might work short term, but organic engagement is what truly sustains growth.
