Oh Lawd. Dancehall artist Vybz Kartel (Adidja Palmer) has reportedly escaped from Horizon Adult Remand Centre in Jamaica. He was being held there while being investigated on a murder charge. According to various reports, Vybz and seven other inmates held a guard at gunpoint before making a run for it. One guard reportedly died on the scene from a heart attack. More details to come. Once you go black, you never go back. Apparently, dancehall artist Vybz Kartel didn’ get the memo and bleached his skin. Earlier this morning, he called Hot 97’s morning show and explains the reason behind his new look. Hey, at least it’s all right white with Rosenberg.
That blog post perfectly captured the raw intensity of Joell Ortiz’s performance at Guz Sports Bar! His delivery of Battle Cry was absolutely electric, making the whole room feel like it was vibrating with pure, unfiltered energy. It reminded me of those high-stakes moments during a intense word guessing game with friends where the pressure is on and every single syllable counts. Seeing such a lyrical powerhouse perform in such an intimate, gritty setting was a legendary experience. If you weren't there, you truly missed out on some masterful storytelling. I'm still buzzing from that incredible night of hip-hop excellence!
