With his album, The Ecstatic in stores today, Pretty Flaco made an appearance last night on David Letterman and even brought his own timpanis! Shimmer down, folks.

Man, miss me with the fake Jay and B quotes already. Headlines. Some of you sites will do anything for attention and traffic. You really believed B would speak to Star magazine? Tuck your tabloid in. And why would Hov need to write a letter to his daughter? Bitch please. He wrote a song! It's called "Glory" and it's pretty fuckin' revealing. He went on the record (double entendre) but you still don't get it. You may hear baby Blue's first cries but no you don't know her height, weight or what she looks like. And no you ain't gettin' a flick, fool. Can new parents get some privacy? Even if they are celebrities. Sheesh! Who raised you animals? Party at the 40/40. Paps outside. Rushin' the velvet rope. Don't trip over your integrity.
Put us here if you like. The RR store stays open 24/7. SOPA? Yeah we Showcase Our Product Always. And we're gonna continue straight ahead til somebody up there turns out the lights. Start from scratch? I'm not afraid.

I still vote for Mos to play Busy Bee in a 70′s Bronx, Party Film…
Black Star will always be classic, but truth is that Mos has always been miles ahead of Talib. Black on both sides, the New Danger, and now the Ecstatic show he and Talib might share a contrarian viewpoint, but artistically they have no business together. While Talib and Common have moved toward Kanye to gain greater acceptance, Mos lives outside the rules of traditional hip hop. Listen to tracks like Umi Says, the Embassy, Climb, Modern Marvel, I could go on. This performance shows that…Fela Kuti, Timpani drums, a traditional kit and a DJ. Where does he think of this stuff?! This guy is much more than a lyricist. If only he spent more time on music and less time making movies like “Be Kind, Rewind…”
It makes no sense to be this good. The album is tight. I haven’t stopped listening to it yet. I knew if was going to be about the business, but he still came hard with it. Best cd of 2009.
Between Mos Def and Saul Williams Hip hop has been given a true artistic future.
