50 Cent Speaks On Drake’s Buzz

 [vodpod id=ExternalVideo.892379&w=425&h=350&fv=]

In the clip, 50 shoots down comparisons between his buzz as an unsigned artist to Aubrey’s.

“I didn’t hear that, I don’t think you can accomplish that right now. Not without finance. I

hear his record on the radio. He got a good buzz, I hear him. Shit, it

wasn’t possible for my music to be on the radio when I was coming. You

know mine’s was completely organic.”

“You know mine’s was completely organic.”

    *blank stare….walks away*

  2. FUCKING HATER says:

What is fucking wrong with this guy. Is he serious?????

“You know mine’s was completely organic.”

    “Thinks about Interscopes push”

    *dead*

  3. dope says:

Labels working buzzed unsigned artists now these days to see if they wanna’ invest?! Haaa!

  4. Ocho5 says:

So i guess being on covers of XXL with Dre and ‘Em before your album drops doesn’t help. And Interscope pushing your project. With that said it may not be exactly the same buzz but it’s pretty close.

  5. Alllllllllllll says:

you guys making comments are completely stupid.

hes comparing his buzz right now to 50s back in the day. 50 gained street buzz with mixtapes particularly the guess whos back mixtape (before he got signed). Drake is getting a buzz from a radio hit with backing.

  6. dmc says:

when 50 came out it was insane, no where near to what drake is doin

  7. Bruhman from the Fif Flo says:

I mean 50 had a huge buzz, but if it wasnt for “In the Club”, he would have stayed underground. Not to say he wouldn’t be successful or as successful, but radio hits catch more attention of the general public. Thats common sense. If Em weren’t to sign him, with him being “blackballed” by the rest of the industry, would he still succeed?

  8. Teddy says:

all 50 does is do interviews and analyze everyone else (hate) and for all his smartness (jealousy) he cant take his own advice and put out good music since he seems to know so much about what the public (his favorate word to insult the listeners like we are all sheep with no brains)will do and want and all this rubbish he talks all he does it talk no album yet just hate on everyone your not t.i wayne drake kanye who actually make music people like and then analyize some more and then make stupid statements in interviews like everyone is only concerned with sales and not making good music when he was the one who was always all about sales and making manufactured formula tailored hot garbage

  9. ocho5 says:

How are the comments stupid, isn’t Drake touring off a mixtape right now?

  10. Alllllllllllll says:

You are a fuckin stupid joke. Drake has had radio singles and done songs with mainstream artists. 50 had aggressive street records on mixtapes with no pop artists before he got signed.

50 buzz -real and organic from underground graft

Drake buzz-a fake one pushed on us by a label

  11. Bjack says:

    Hi Haters:

50’s Buzz(Get Rich or Die Trying) translated in to 12 Million Records Sold.

Drake’s Buzz (Whatever the fuck is album is called) has sold ?????? records.

The fact of the matter is that 50 moved units, and thus far Drizzy hasn’t. Not to say he won’t but we can’t compare then count the eggs before they hatch. Ask Lebron. 50’s Buzz is only rivaled by Snoop’s. I can be honest about that and I hate that big teef Mo’ Fo. Can you?

    DRAKE VS. 50

50 did have an organic rising, I remember be on 105 in Northern before he dropped and every corner dude was banging his tape (not cd) my man Lasey said this is the hottest dude, period. I listened and took that same sentiment along with a tape back to Jersey took it to the hood (D Block) and my man Rah Black heard, played it all night and everyone knew, this kid could do it. The Em co-sign was for the industry, the same thing would happened if he signed anywhere, truth be told, that was Sha Money XL pushing, not Iovine or Mr. Young/Matthers.

Drake has the same intensity, he closed the freaking awards without a single out, BEST is off a mixtape, it may be selling on itunes now, but it still is a mixtape, he is on his second tour, first major, from a mixtape, he has the radio, from a mixtape, no matter who is working it, remember, just a few weeks ago everyone said a major cannot do anything so if this is from a major than it is an incredible feat to get these guys to do something, but if it is indie, than wow, he officially changed the game no matter what
