Jay-Z has dropped albums year after year. He never took a break and recharged his batteries. Even his retirement was shorter than the average break between albums that artists take. Eminem was gone for what.. 4 years? Wayne took 3 years to make the Carter 3. Kanye and T.I. are the only artists that drop as consistently as Jay. But neither of them have his resume. No one does. Wayne’s career started off slow… Who else starts with a classic? And follows it up with classic after classic. Note, if Kingdom Come was Hova’s fall off…. it’s sad that that album was more in depth and more meaningful than anything Wayne has ever done. Wayne is good, he’s almost great. But in a different bracket than Jay. Eminem had two fall offs in a row. Between Eminem Show and Relapse….. Sorry. I love Em but he has that Nas syndrome.
