Uh D, Kanye sold 450,000 first week with 808’s…basically the same as BP3.
Uh B.Dot…Em sold 610,000 in US with Relapse…BIG difference from 465,000…ESPECIALLY IN THIS CLIMATE. And ESPECIALLY given the fact that Eminem’s promotion was about 20% that of Jay-Z’s.

Em sells of shock factor buzz. Jay-Z sells based on consistency.
Em is dope as fuck. Jay-Z is the GOAT.
Jay-Z has dropped albums year after year. He never took a break and recharged his batteries. Even his retirement was shorter than the average break between albums that artists take. Eminem was gone for what.. 4 years? Wayne took 3 years to make the Carter 3. Kanye and T.I. are the only artists that drop as consistently as Jay. But neither of them have his resume. No one does. Wayne’s career started off slow… Who else starts with a classic? And follows it up with classic after classic. Note, if Kingdom Come was Hova’s fall off…. it’s sad that that album was more in depth and more meaningful than anything Wayne has ever done. Wayne is good, he’s almost great. But in a different bracket than Jay. Eminem had two fall offs in a row. Between Eminem Show and Relapse….. Sorry. I love Em but he has that Nas syndrome. Needs constant motivation or a spark to have him put out a classic. Jay-Z is oozing with creativity. No bruno. Kanye and T.I. are following Jay’s blueprint, no pun intended. Consistency and quality. Wayne lacks both. Em and Nas lack consistency. And most other rappers aren’t worth mentioning. Oh and Luda. He is shaky usually too.
