“This is a record that, right now, I’m scared of making,” Nas said of the album. “I don’t know what’s gonna happen, as far as I don’t know what I’m gonna say. I feel like I’ve put so much of my personal life out there, and I feel like I’m one of the sort of guys you don’t really hear about [though] paparazzi or fan magazines all the time. But I just feel like my life is so much out there [now] that it’s kind of like — man, I don’t even know how to put into words how I feel about putting this record together. I’m a little nervous, to tell you the truth. That’s all I can say.”

I’m not one to be mistaken for a Nas fan.. but seriously he is the laziest rapper alive.
How hard is it really? If rappers with half your calibre are LIVING in the studio what’s your excuse?everybody’s working hard. veterans to the freshmen.
Dont’ bring up Kelis or the baby cuz Weezy has about 3-4 kids a year and he’s still doing more features, albums, tours and TV..
I don’t know.. even Jay as much as he has goign on manages to do features and release songs in between albums and stay up on the latest.. Nas really needs to step it up..
NAS is too laid backed
because of pac niggaz feel like u gotta have a fucking song out every 5 minutes and 100 songs out per year. Remember pac said himself that he did that due to prison and he felt like didnt have a lot of time. He also said that his shit wasnt all Quality because of that and i said that to say this, nas is still here today because hes not on the television every 5 minutes with nothing to say but when he does return it builds up a want to here what hes up to, Rakim aint put an album out in damn near 10 years but when his new shit drop im coppin. A real artist likes their shit to be right not right now. Thats why the game is full of microwave hits now and the songs aint bout nothing

whoa Don, Untitled is nas’s 4th #1 album, and went gold. In fact, every one of nas’s album always went gold or better, so how can u say Untitled was a flop? how bout u get ur facts straight buddy, and as 4 nas bein scared, he just wants 2 make sure that his next album isn’t a piece of $h!+ like all the other albums commin out latley. and may I say that Untitled is much better than BP3.

I would argue the past 3 years between touring on both his solo tours internationally and 3 Rock the Bells tours and dropping 2 albums he’s been one of the busiest rappers.
people trip me out…I swear Nas is held to a higher level of scrutiny than any other artist…and it must just be cliche to call him lazy. He has been touring all summer & working on his collaboration album with Damien Marley, all while going through a nasty divorce & the birth of his child…yet people are harping on him over guest features and album releases…His last album just came out in 2008…I don’t get what the issue is…and furthermore he is a human being who hasn’t had the most low stress year so let the guy be…and comparing him to Lil’ Wayne & saying he has no excuse just because Wayne has 3 kids being born w/in months of each other holds no weight…that proves absolutely nothing except for the fact that Wayne has no concept of reality.
and lol @ the one hot year every 10 year average line…even Jay knows that that line is a lie…and I hardly call 9 platinum albums (2 multi) & one gold album without huge levels of mainstream commercialization a flop.

Untitled went gold according to the RIAA…actually happened over a year ago.
the rap game is all fucked but only in the main stream media jay-z just put out the blue print 3 and it was number 1 on the charts but it was the worst album he ever made and its still better the most albums out right now and that’s sad but there is a bright side people in ever city there are artiest staying true to the game making mix-tapes making music there way the true to the streets way and you wont hear it on the radio because if you did there music would change just look at Gucci mane and plies they were hot on the street but when they tried to go main stream they sucked ass look at Lil Wayne his mix tapes were FIRE but his albums PLEASE!!! need i say more. in closing all i can say is support your local artist so they can keep making the music you like in my area the d.m.v we got allot of tight rappers but you will never hear them on the radio like the ”mob boys ” chaos” the committee boys”and them rollinup records dudes . I’m glad there not on the radio cause i now there music would change and i like bump there shit in my car.
