  3. Baby-son says:

    ^^^
You mean the Lupe Fiasco rip off? LOL. You playin, right?

  5. Oj Da Cornball says:

Da cornball thought he can away with that trash in NY. We’re not a high on sizzup crowd so we know what real music and talent suppose to be.

P.S. My name is a negative homage to Oj the Juceiman. Such a cornball. Lol

  6. matik86 says:

ill put any NY rapper against an ATL rapper, see who gonna get the most respect in a live show

  7. B.Dot says:

    OJ sucks. The end.

  8. Van says:

You damn right we booed that nigga.

That shit sucks, all that shit sucks. It’s over for the step it and fetch it bamboozled rap. fake ass niggas. White niggas don’t even want to hear that shit no more. It’s not about the south so don’t make it about something it’s not. It’s plenty of great mcs from the south. Jay Electronica is from Louisiana; ATL has a legend in 3000; NC has J Cole and Little Brother etc.

That Juiceman / Guccimane shit is just wack, period.

    BOOOOOOOOOO. . . . GTFOH.

  9. JihaD says:

This is why New York never gets love down south….

And B.Dot, NY DOES suck… Bunch of crabs in a barrel quick to blame others for their downfall, when they were too busy “bossin up” trying to start movements and labels, isolating themselves from others… Now when nobody gives a fuck about New York (whats the last new artist ya’ll broke on a national level? Maino? Nigga Please…) and your music isn’t relevant anymore, NOW you want to hate on EVERYBODY else, from 50 Cent to Gucci, to OJ, to ____________; or, you DICKRIDE these same artists in order to get some play outside of the tri-state area (see: every nigga that done a song with Gucci or OJ in the past year).

Look, I am defending OJ’s music, but to flat out BOO someone you paid to see is a joke… They could have just moved on with the show, as he was only a opening act. (Side Note: looking at the acts they had lined up, why the hell was he on this show anyway? Its like they set him up to fail or something…)

    JihaD

  10. matik86 says:

no one paid to see OJ, lets be serious…Pill & Donnis did there thing, OJ is to blame for not getting the crowd amped at least, sheeeeeeit

  11. wes says:

“OJ isn’t a prodigy and he didn’t really do anything to deserve insane adoration during his 15-minute set, but he didn’t do anything to deserve woefully close-minded catcalls after every song, either. In an odd bout of what could only be described as collective masochism, most of the crowd seemed to be into OJ’s biggest hit, “Make The Trap Say Aye”, only to boo the track (pretty loudly) after it ended. It’s this sort of nostalgia-driven, moronic mindset that has stymied New York’s rap output for years now, and it’s pathetic.”

  12. Jusjonzin says:

New Yorkers are highly critical of everything. In all fairness I saw that the crowd was trying to get into it but I just wasn’t working. This is the wrong type of artist for the wrong type of show the people paid to see Ghost not OJ.

  13. NYC REP says:

What did y’all expect, This New York City, the birthplace of hip hop, we expect Mc’s to be high caliber, and we hold niggas with deals to a higher standard then that

  14. 86Cazals says:

The put him on the wrong line up. Wille Lynch is the reason NY’ers cant appreciated Southern rapp and vice versa. Mental stigmas created during slavery still reing supreme!!! Music is music learn the language or code of your own people, embrace the things you dont understand so that you can overstand, marble talk (i had to take a shot)

    R.I.P Roc Raida!!!!!!!!

  15. wes says:

laughing at the “we’re from new york, we have high standards” attitude

    go bump a papoose tape

  16. B.Dot says:

    @ JihaD

    ^
I fucks with TONS of southern artists. ie: Pill, Boosie, B.o.B., J.Cole, etc. The fact is that OJs music sucks. Dont know why he was on the bill in the first place. Aye!

  17. hdj says:

This is fucking awesome! New York aint accepting that bullshit rap. Fucking New York and Boston should team up and boo all these faggots that rap that gay shit….LOVEEE ITT!

  18. VerseCutta says:

for the most part , south rappers are wack ,no real skillz,
i dont dislike south rappers, just because their from the south, they just happen to not know how to rap down there.
fuck all that dancing, step ur lyrics up,
ny been goin downhill the past years, but still lightyears ahead of any other place as far as REAL rap skills go.
raekwon, best album of the year (so far),
(jeezy did had the best of 08 tho)

  19. hunterdotcomson says:

I could give two sh*ts about OJ da Juiceman. But so what he got booed in NYC? If I remember right, waaaay back in the day Too Short got booed in Philly. I say that to say this: this does nothing to stop their appeal. In the end it’s just a moral victory for folk who think they are doing hip-hop a solid. Keep up the good work. *fingerguns*

  20. POPA SANGRE says:

Wtf does NY rap got to do with this lame getting booed? Wack is wack regardless of where you at or where you from. And this nigga been wack since day one. OKAY?!?!

  21. Eljoy says:

The Promoter takes an L for this one. You can’t put O.J. on the same bill as The Chef in NY. Rae fans are old heads; old NY heads at that. Ms. Cleo could’ve foreseen O.J. gettin boo’d by that crowd.
The promoter should’ve put him in a show with a younger NY artist with younger NY fans.

  22. djdv says:

To quote “JihaD” in speaking about New Yorkers… “…NOW you want to hate on EVERYBODY else, from 50 Cent to Gucci, to OJ, to ____________;…” anybody else see what’s wrong with this statement?!? (hint: 50 is from NY)

    Moving on…

In any case… this is not regional… OJ is not talented, that’s it. I’m from the north living in NC and I know that there is good music EVERYWHERE including the south… They’re not all snappin and trappin in their rappin. Promise. He just happens to be the latest wack rapper to get undeservedly popular. Now if we could just get legit artists to stop putting artists like Gucci in their songs, we might have something here.

  23. djdv says:

    DEFINITELY agree with Eljoy tho

  24. NOUS says:

    1. Has nothing to do with where he’s from. Wack is wack.
    2. I don’t understand why people can’t get with the fact that there is more than one incarnation of rap/hip-hop, and always has been. We’re going to have the Slaughterhouses, the Jay-Zs, the Kanye/CuDi, the Soulja Boy, and everything else. Deal with it. Just because someone isn’t talking about bashing someone’s head in or selling crack, doesn’t mean it’s not hip-hop. That shit is crazy anyway.

  25. Slim says:

    OJ sucks. The end.

    ^^^^^^^
Co-sign. I love southern rap by the way. 8-ball & MJG, Andre 3000, Big-Boi, Field Mob (I know they are broken up), Bun B and Scarface etc. are all LYRICISTS. Then you have cats like Z-Ro who are multi-talented (sing and rap). But this Gucci Man and OJ duh Jooh-man are fucking clowns. I’ve given both these assholes a chance, listened to their shit, they are both fucking garbage. That’s what’s really good. If I hear one more time “Gucci is hot in Atlanta” I’m going to puke. Who gives a fuck? No disrespect to Atlanta, but the real man on the come up is Pill, and you know I’m ready for that TM 103. Gucci and OJ CANNOT RAP.

  26. NOUS says:

But, either way, the booing ain’t love, though.

  27. RuyrazN says:

OJ came out mumbling his bigot ass lines with his corny ass farmer flow, NYC respects real music Spitta got love , really every1 else did..

thought it was funny info tried to save him and got booed

  28. WhatsDatYay? says:

    COSIGN ^ NOUS

  29. WhatsDatYay? says:

An artist is an artist no matter what he’s making, and no artist deserves to get booed after performing.

    Grow up people.

  30. globalcypherdotcom says:

“No artist deserves to get booed” – If you suck, you should get booed; it’s a simple as that. Obviously he’s done something to get to the level where he can be on the same bill with Raekwon and Ghostface IN NYC, and you can’t fault the dude for pushing his brand, but if you fuck up on stage or don’t bring your best performance to crowd that is expecting REAL hip hop, then you’re going to be booed. Simple as that.

And as I’m from NC myself, fuck those of you hating on the south just because of another artist from “the South”. Not everybody here can be put into one category, just like you can’t stereotype every rapper from NYC. There are those that are talented, and those that aren’t, just like in every city on the map. Atlanta is different than Tampa is different than Miami is different than New Orleans is different than Charlotte – and each city has good artists and shitty ones.

  31. BX says:

An artist is an artist no matter what he’s making, and no artist deserves to get booed after performing.
    ===================================================================

That is your opinion. Someone can go on stage and recite a poem that they wrote from the heart. That doesn’t mean it’s good or worthy of appreciation. An artist performs for people and recieves a response or some type of feedback, whether positive or negative. He or she needs to know whether they hit or misss by the response from the crowd. Positive or Negative. How will he or she know if they are GOOD or NOT?!?!? The response from the crowd. If they like it they applaud if not they boo. This is not elementary school sports where the coach is happy as long as “everybody” plays. This is the professional business of making music. The crowd doesn’t have to sit there and smile like they are watching a middle school talent show. This is the BIG Leauges. If you are not able to play on that level it’s on you. The fans don’t pay to see opening acts “get their art on”. They pay to watch someone who gives them what they believe is their money’s worth.

  32. BX says:

Southern Rap is NOT the problem. Honestly, we have had too much “co-signing” over the last 8 or 9 years. Every artist that has some talent wants to “put on” their homie or cousin or manager, etc.

How many times have we seen and artist bring out someone who is not as good as them?

I am just shocked by the amount of “crews” that try to put out records. Usually dudes who are really talented, don’t have talented friends. That’s just what it is. If you want to include someone from your crew or from the hood so they can do something positive, thats cool, but have them do something they’re actually good at. Proteges often pale in comparison to the original talent.

So we have heard lots of albums from people who should have been supporting from the sideline instaed of getting a budget. Too many records from crews who should be a part of the entourage instead of getting a deal.

Guccimane is fortunate to be getting the run he is getting. He should enjoy it and not try to bring us anybody else, because if they we’re good they would have gotten a situation with a label on their own. F(&K THE CO-SIGN!!!!!!

We got Jeezy don’t need CTE
We got Rick Ross don’t need Triple C’s
We got Game don’t need Black Wall Street
We got Camron don’t need Vado, Dip-Set West, etc
We got The Lox dont need the rest of the cats you hang with in Y.O.
We got Weezy don’t need the rest of Young Money

Unless you are going to pull a late 90’s Fat Joe and bring us a PUN (menaing Joe brought us someone whose talent surpassed his). Or an Outkast (who brought us someone who was a talent on his own like Killer Mike)

    F(&K THE CO-SIGN!!!!!!

  33. Afura says:

Look at those W’s go up WUUUU

  34. Frank says:

Straight shots to head, fuck some Juicemane (c) Jeezy

  35. BrotherDante says:

The trap say “aye,” but New York says BOOOO.

  36. Person says:

He is the worst rapper of all time. Anyone defending Orange Juice can fucking kill themselves.
Go listen to “rap.” Orange Juice isnt “rap.” Its “shit.” Nobody is hating on the south so go swallow
glass. If you suck dick, you suck dick. Good job NYC. Someone has to do the job. Im from the West
& id boo that garbage all day. If Orange Juice wants to get better at rap, as well as Gucci, ill accept you. I wrote better rhymes in my diaper. You make Yayo a Jay-Z in my eyes. <3 Yayo.

  37. Markymar says:

The reason yall don’t get it cause there’s no struggle in New York anymore. It’s just a bunch of average ass people hating on eachother, bringing everyone down as a whole so then the only people who are doing anything are LEGENDS or dumbasses like fucking Joe Budden. Yall too polite to say, “hey Raekwon- your new album…NOT THAT GOOD”. if it’s about respect then just be honest and sometimes what’s most creative or progressive for “rap music” does not fit into the confines of NY RAP.

  38. G says:

^^^ umm joe budden is from jersey dickhead… and he also raps circles around OJ and gucci mane

    oh and NY >>>>>>>>>>

  39. meggiep says:

Is New York really about real shit? New York seemed to be full of cranky assholes last night. The drunk dude who elbowed my head while waving his arms to Jada doesn’t spell out ‘discerning musical taste’ to me.

  40. JUNIOR says:

T.I. has love in NYC, same as Young Jeezy, Outkast, Scarface, Lil´Wayne and all of them……but wack is wack! Oj and Gucci are terrible….get the fuck outta NY, better than that, get the fuck outta rap!

  41. oh really? PT5 says:

What I learned is that no matter how much I hate some of this bullshit out there. ITS ALL RELATIVE! To me Gucci and OJ are garbage but that shit might have got someone thru a rough time or soemthing like that. That stuff might even sound like mozart in their minds. Granted those people might BE SLOW. Still I cant hate on nobody for doing they thing if you dont like it dont listen. Why spend time hating on another man? That isn’t gonna hurt them or help ya’ll.

THANK YOU, COULDN’T HAVE BEEN WRITTEN ANY BETTER!

  43. mrholloway says:

    Bet O.J. still got a $1000 check for a 2 minute performance.

BESIDES new york ain’t got but 5 total relevant artist and can’t sell 100,000 albums in the state alone.

  44. H.Y.P.E. says:

It’s about time. Now if we could just do that to all these weak “rappers” watering down the music we’d be set, but I guess they wouldn’t be successful if people weren’t buying. Damn it all!

  45. Queen YoNasDa says:

This is how I see it I have rocked on stage from Mario to Wu Tang Clan & I am recently goin to be the official opening act for the upcomin Raekwon tour. Any artist that takes that stage that holds a mic gotta do the knowledge on what they consider hip hop! My music isn’t raw & gritty like Wu Tang but I must be doin somethin right to be accepted by Wu fans, who happen to be the toughest fans to perform in front of. I have seen them throw bottles at artists onstage. The Wu fans will test your hip hop once you hit that stage. & if you fail you better get back up again cuz I see it like this if you can have several successful performances at a Wu Tang show then you can perform anywhere! October 27th “God.Love & Music” hit stores.

  46. tee says:

yall up north people so lame grow up and give da man his props cuz he doin his thang

  47. tee says:

yall up north people so lame grow up and give da man his props cuz he doin his thang (HATERS)

  48. BX says:

Why is someone a hater if they don’t think you are talented? If you get on stage and get bood does that mean you’re really good but people just want to hate? If that was the case people would hate on any and everything from the South but they don’t.

T.I. doesn’t get booed up here. Wayne doesnt get booed up here. Jeezy doesn’t get booed up here. Juvi doesn’t get booed up here. Ludacris doesn’t get booed up here. Bun B gets much love up here.

What is the difference between these “southern” artist who get much love in nyc and O.J.?

They are good artist and O.J. is not. He is the protege of another dude who is not on the same level as any of the REAL ARTISTS that I mentioned.

  50. tee says:

Look BX wut I am sying is that this is just an atlanta thing and people who are not from here will never understand. Yall always talkin bout the way we talkkand we cant rap and we are not talented and I feel like the only reason that yall say that shit is cuz yall niggaz aint doin shit up north. Yall aint bringin nothin to the table———Well besides Jay z and a few others who have been in the game for a minute. I just feel like yall used to be on the top and don fell off and now that atlanta is doin our thing yall wanna hate. Dont hate just show love shawty and if you dont like it then you dont have to listen to it. But dont hate on the next man cuz yall aint doin shit just show luv cuz everybody out here grinden and tryna get it. Folks tryna eat and thats how they gettin it. Cause personally BX I dont fuck wit up north rappers or people period i just dont like yall swagg and i feel like yall got some fucked up attitudes but shit i aint fina hate on yall jus cuz i aint diggin yall like dat. If you aint got nothin positive to say then keep da bullshit to yaself HATA

  51. Bryan says:

I was born and raised up north (Detroit) but I lived in the south for years. My entire family is from Atlanta and I love Southern music and culture but… There IS a difference between Southern artist that make good creative content and people that are only in it to exploit the music. I personally don’t recognize anything creative about OJ the Juiceman. It has nothing to do with his subject matter. Young Jeezy is one of the most metaphorically creative artist out there and he only makes dope man music. I think OJ’s music – although annoyingly catchy – is some thoughtless bullshit. Probably because I’m a grown ass man (28 years old). That’s not a Southern problem. There is garbage music everywhere. The great thing about hip hop is that it is whatever we say it is. Meaning that I although I wouldn’t waste the cost of electricity to upload an OJ song, I don’t think we should be defining what music is for anybody else. If you like OJ, cool. If not, keep it moving.
