What Was Chris Brown Thinking?
Wednesday, November 04 2009 4:03 PM EST | Posted by: YN | Posted in: Blog, Focus, R&BMTV gets their chance to crack the C Brown-Ri-Ri drama. Sway hit VA for a sit-down that airs this Friday at 6 p.m. EST. Here’s a sample from their discussion.
“My thoughts [when I look back on it now] is like, why did it happen?” he told MTV News correspondent Sway during an hour-long, one-on-one interview that took place in Brown’s native Virginia. “Like, what was I thinking? What is wrong with you? That’s what I’m thinking with myself. That’s what my thoughts are, basically, now.
“It’s like, how do we get past it? How do you, Chris — talking to myself — how do you go from point A to point B? How do you learn from your mistakes, turn it into a positive and help other people with the situation, and at the end of the day become the person that you want to be?”
No bowtie for this one, Breezy? C’mon son!

I'm down for good music for a good cause but this ain't the case. The homie Sha from MTV hit me with a question yesterday I dreaded goin' on the record about: How do I feel about hip-hop artists being included in the "We Are The World" remake? Geez, I guess we've come long way since 1985. I don't think you could do it any other way than include our culture which is the pulse of pop culture. But instead of feeling any type of validation, I feel disgust. Seriously, a complete remake of the original song? Celine Dion gettin' her Cyndi Lauper on? Lil Wayne as Bob Dylan? Fuck outta here. Didn't I see Will.I.Am in the flicks? They could gave that nigga an hour plus a pen and a pad and I'm sure he'd come up with something cheesy for no small fee but for free. I'm truly scared to hear what the final product is gonna sound like. Are we really gonna hear the soothing vocals of Nipsey Hussle in the final mix? Highly doubt it. Damn, it's the thought that counts but this just doesn't feel right. Shame on a couple of legendary nuhs named Lionel Richie and Quincy Jones. MJ is turning over in his oxygen tank.
You know you done fucked up, don't you? You know it, don't you? You know you done fucked up.
his cd is gonna flop.
geez they are really gonna milk this shit..
It’s like Chris & Rihanna’s teams are playing chess. He leaks a song, she leaks a song. She does a sit down interview, he does the same. He gets this magazine cover, she gets that one.
Joe Blow , I don’t think he’s gonna flop. Did you read YN’s Blackout where he said little girls where behind him saying, “he can beat my ass!” The young girls will still ride for him.
Very well said, Michelle.
Michelle, ima Dude and i Will buy that shit. Wanna know why? Because he makes good music thats WAAAAAAAAAYyyy better than any of the shit that will come out in december like Lil wayne’s rebirth (I have no problem with wayne, i just dont like the rock thing) and young money album (Putting multiple niggas on 1 album wont increase sales just beacause 2 of them (drake and Weezy) are actually famous).
Chris and Rihanna, are both young, and made mistakes on both ends, they both need to step up to the plate, and they both need to look at what each other has done to the other, to get where they were, in such an abusive relationship. We can blame Chris because he is the one who abused her, but they both have issues they need to address. They both can turn this into a learning tool for others, for both boys and girls who either abuse or are the abuser. I hope they both find peace, and can look to each other one day without hate, and express their feelings without anger. In the end, a friendship is what is best, as they once shared a relationship, good or bad, they were together and should find peace within it, and move on without trying to destroy each other.
The girls who say “Chris can beat me down anytime” are the ones who need to seek help, as it is not Chris who made them see or feel that way, they need to learn on their own that abuse is not the answer and no matter what Chris says or does, he cannot change them, they need to change on their own. It is their issue, not his. Hopefully Rhi talking will help them see diffrently.
