Good interview. J. Cole really sheds light on how the internet and mixtapes are drastically changing the business model of music. His comments on the value of songs decreasing gives insight on how this situation will force artists and labels to either reach some type of compromise or suffer severe consequences. On a positive note, I do believe that the current situation raises the quality of music being produced, due to huge ongoing competition for listeners attention.
good interivew.. still not much personality.. and he WILL need that.. cuz there is a 50cent beef in his future or some type of soap opera drama..
lol @ “I went to school” that doesn’t mean shit.. cuz you’re still a rapper/entertainer.. how is that leveraging your academic achievements? What water does your degree hold in what you do? You’re competing with the lowest artistry (for the most part) and the lowest educated in probably any genre of music.. so who gives a fuck if you went to school.. let’s see if it translated to hits then we can say you know something.
